Chapter 15 - Chapter 15: No Coexistence with a Bad Woman!

"You just need to move your desk over directly."

"I'll help you with your books."

Chen Cheng picked up a large stack of textbooks and worksheets from the desk, wobbling as she carried them toward the fourth group in the classroom.

The homeroom teacher was efficient—by the next day, An Yuan's seat had been changed. Now, he sat in the last row of the fourth group, sharing a desk with a tall, lanky classmate who was about 1.9 meters tall.

Unfortunately, this new seat was far from Chen Cheng. The teacher hadn't followed her suggestion to place An Yuan right behind her.

"Make way, make way~"

After setting down the heavy stack of books, Chen Cheng felt she had done her part in helping An Yuan relocate. Satisfied, she placed her hands on her hips and turned her head slightly to glance at Li Wanyi.

Hmph! Stay away from my brother!

With An Yuan's looks and stature, in a high school environment where people valued appearance over family background, attracting pretty girls would be effortless. So why did it have to be you, a girl who had already proven to be a bad woman?

Noticing Chen Cheng's smug gaze, Li Wanyi's face turned green. She lowered her eyes and bit her lower lip.

Seeing her pitiful, harmless expression, Chen Cheng almost felt like she was playing the role of an evil female antagonist. Feeling slightly awkward, she averted her gaze and returned to her seat.

Even though she had only been in this world for a few days, Chen Cheng was doing her best to readjust to the life of a senior high school student.

She spent every class doing practice problems, continued doing them between classes, and even used irrelevant lessons to work on more problems—trying to finish as much homework as possible during school hours. That way, she could at least have an hour of free time after school.

Naturally, she hadn't finished yesterday's homework. "Pan Jie, let me copy your homework."

"Here."

"Thanks~"

Pan Jie's face flushed red again. He nervously scratched the back of his head and smiled shyly.

For some reason, Chen Cheng had been noticeably more lively these past couple of days.

She even swore occasionally!

Compared to the quiet, untouchable goddess she used to be, the current Chen Cheng was much more approachable.

Avoiding her gaze, Pan Jie hesitated before speaking. "You… you didn't used to talk much…"

"Really?"

Chen Cheng had heard about her past personality from her best friends. Apparently, she used to be a quiet and aloof girl.

Over the past few days, through her computer and phone, she discovered that her interests and hobbies were almost identical to those of her original self. Through her mother and aunt, she learned that her behavior at home wasn't much different either.

Aside from gender and the minor differences that came with it, the two versions of Chen Cheng from parallel worlds were nearly identical—even their glasses had the same prescription.

So why was she different at school?

Was she using cold aloofness to cover up social anxiety? But they had been classmates for years—even if they hadn't talked, they were at least familiar with each other's faces. Social anxiety shouldn't be a problem, right?

"We just weren't that familiar before."

Chen Cheng casually made up an excuse and pulled a thermos out of her bag. "Do you want some milk tea?"

"Milk tea?"

"Yeah! I bought it on the way here, but it's still warm." Chen Cheng opened the thermos and poured half a bottle cap of milk tea, handing it to him. "Want some?"

Pan Jie's already flushed face turned an even deeper shade of red—like a monkey's butt. He shook his head furiously. "No, no, it's fine. Thanks."

This guy is so weird.

Chen Cheng gave Pan Jie a puzzled look. It was just sharing some food and drinks—why was he so shy?

Could it be because I look too good? Is he embarrassed?

Shrugging it off, she drank the milk tea from the bottle cap herself, screwed the lid back onto the thermos, set it aside, and focused on copying her homework.

On the way to school, An Yuan mentioned that drinking a little milk tea during her period was fine in moderation. However, Chen Cheng completely ignored the words "in moderation" and "a little" and eagerly poured out her tasteless boiled water, stopping by a milk tea shop to fill her thermos with two full cups of hot milk tea.

She hadn't had any sugary drinks the entire previous day—her mouth was practically dying of boredom!

After drinking too much milk tea, she found herself needing to use the restroom right before the morning reading session started. She put down her pen and rushed off.

At this time of day, there were fewer students using the restroom—no lines, no crowds, and best of all, no awkward encounters.

But to be honest, even now, she still wasn't used to squatting or sitting down to pee…

"Crap! I forgot to bring toilet paper."

It wasn't until she was about to pull up her uniform pants that she realized her mistake.

Because of biological differences, guys could just shake it off, but girls had no choice but to wipe for cleanliness.

Would it really be a big deal if she didn't wipe?

Or should she call An Yuan to bring her some? But he was a guy, and coming into the girls' restroom would be inconvenient… Maybe she could check her phone to see if she had any female classmates' contacts and ask for help.

Luckily, someone outside had overheard her muttering. A hand reached under the stall door, passing her a pack of tissues.

"Thanks~"

A kind soul!

Chen Cheng pulled up her pants and walked out of the stall—only to find that the "kind soul" was actually Li Wanyi.

This bad woman didn't seem like she had just coincidentally come to use the restroom. Judging by how she was standing right outside the stall, waiting deliberately, she was more likely here to interrogate her.

Chen Cheng definitely disliked Li Wanyi, but she also knew that all the bad things she had seen in the future hadn't happened yet.

Right now, Li Wanyi was just an ordinary girl—aside from her stinky feet and sloppiness, she didn't have any real faults. That thought made Chen Cheng feel a little guilty.

"Move, I need to get to morning reading..."

She lowered her head, her eyes darting nervously, trying to slip past.

But the way she looked just now confirmed for Li Wanyi exactly who was behind An Yuan's sudden seat change.

The entire class knew that she and An Yuan had a somewhat ambiguous relationship—until Chen Cheng butted in!

Li Wanyi stepped to the side, blocking her path again. Taking control of the situation, she asked, "Do you like An Yuan?"

"I—"

"But you told Shutian that you two were just ordinary friends?"

Chen Cheng was, at heart, an introverted homebody with social anxiety. This was her first time being cornered and questioned by another girl, and before she could even speak, she was aggressively interrupted. Completely caught off guard, she immediately fell into a passive position, lowering her head and awkwardly fidgeting with the hem of her uniform.

"So what did I ever do to you? Why did you have to separate me from An Yuan?"

What was she supposed to say?

That she had seen the future, didn't like how things turned out, and that Li Wanyi had cheated on An Yuan?

"Are you mentally ill or something? You're bad at studying, and your brain isn't working either?"

Whoa. That was way too aggressive. Was she really this mad just because she couldn't sit next to An Yuan anymore?

Chen Cheng—who was almost thirty in her past life—was now being scolded by a seventeen-year-old girl to the point where she couldn't even lift her head. She was fuming with frustration, wanting to argue back but being too slow with her words.

"You are crazy!"

Li Wanyi stomped off angrily, leaving Chen Cheng standing there, still feeling wronged and stunned. It wasn't until the class bell rang that she snapped out of it.

She should have stood her ground and confidently declared:

"Yes, I like An Yuan!"

"And we're childhood friends who grew up together! YOU'RE the real third party here!"

Then, she should have made up some fake intimate stories to make Li Wanyi jealous as hell!

Going over the scene in her head, the more Chen Cheng thought about it, the more frustrated she became. How had she not thought of those comebacks earlier?! That would have totally turned the situation around—it might have even made Li Wanyi explode with anger!

She angrily kicked the bathroom door. "Shit!"

At first, she had just found Li Wanyi annoying and wanted to prevent An Yuan from suffering again.

But now?

Now, it was personal.

No coexistence with this bad woman!
