The soldiers recoiled.

In five seconds, several warriors in their path had become grotesque piles of flesh.
Kang didn't hesitate for a second.
He took a deep breath and channeled all his energy into his lance. The flames around him turned a blazing orange, heating the air to the point of shimmering.

He leaped into the air and, with a fluid motion, brought his lance down directly onto the monster's skull. An explosion engulfed the battlefield, blinding everyone for a moment.
When the dust settled, charred monsters lay on the ground.
The soldiers regained their courage and redoubled their efforts, driving back the monsters with renewed determination.
Ruoxi, standing in the rear, watched the scene with an amused smile, clapping.
"Uncle would be proud of you!"
He turned to her, his gaze burning.
