Ji Yen continued flying around his nest area. But he did not go into his nest instead he was searching for a suitable spot for undergoing the maturation process or breakthrough process.
As he continued surveying around, he spotted a somewhat hidden cave near a cliff.
And he flew towards it.
When he arrived near the cave, Ji Yen saw that it was occupied by another animal already.
It was just a normal wild bear. So he drove it away.
At first, the bear showed ferocious might like trying to scare Ji Yen away. But when it saw the aura emitting from the big sparrow, it ran away.
Even though the bird was smaller than him, the bear was not stupid enough to not see the pressure emitting from a half Grade Demon beast.
When your king drove you away from your home, what can you do beside submitting.
Ji Yen looked at the bear running away from his own cave and a thought struck him. What can he do if one day he was also force to submit like that.
He thought about it and decided that a momentary setback is not the end.
He decided not think further and went on with the present.
Then he enters the cave. It was about 3 meters in radius inside. So it was big enough for him to undergo the process.
He sat down in the middle of the cave and adjusted his breathing to calm himself.
Some minutes later, he opened the system.
"System, start the process of breakthrough." He said softly.

As the count down ended, the process started.
Ji Yen felt his bones crushing and expanding at the same time. Sometimes, he would felt like his whole body was on fire. And he would also feel like his feathers were falling apart. And it was true.
The process went for hours.
Inside the cave, the temperature of the cave was rising at a very fast rate.
It was like a boiling pot but without water.
After more than 6 hours of burning alive, Ji Yen felt like he was out of the pot.
The process was officially ended.

Seeing the message, Ji Yen finally felt a relief.
Then he checked his new body. When checked, he found out that he had grown new feather. It was more sturdier than before. And his new skin was more harden. And lastly, he had grown bigger.
So, he opened his appearance data.

Seeing the data, Ji Yen felt like he was more like a demon beast now.

Wanting to test it out, he flapped his right wing to shoot out the feather blades.

A feather blade shot out from his hidden feathers and it tore through the cave like a paper. But the blade did not stopped after that. It pierced through many small tree. And it ultimately stopped after hitting a large tree.
The effect of the feather blade surprised Ji Yen greatly.
When he checked the area of his wing, the feather blade left, he was also surprised to see that the feather was now starting to recover.
Of course, it will takes more than 9 hours to full restore the feather blade. But it was already much faster than before. Before, he could only restore the feather blade after 2 to 3 days. Now, it would only take 9 hours.

He always wondered how the system know those things. He thought maybe it came with the system. But if it came with the system? Where did the system learn about it. Or who put it in the system.
But Ji Yen thought too much. The answer was simpler than that.

"Well thats a surprise. So, how much distance can you cover in your scan?" Ji Yen asked again, even though he was surprised by the system's answer.
[I can scan upto 20 miles of radius from where host is. And I advice host not think of using the scan for combat and other stuffs. It will take days to process the informations and make it into simpler forms.]
He felt a little ashamed having exposed by the system.
"But can I use it for searching or tracking someone?" He questioned again.
[Host, please note that I am a system for evolution. Other than helping the host ascending in forms. I have limited power in other things.
Of course, I can do simple calculations and other stuffs including deriving methods for many activities.]
