The early morning wind blowed softly. Making the fallen leaves of trees rustle silently. The warm glow of the arising sun seemed to hold a afterglow of freedom and vitality in it.
Even the chirping of birds and the gruffs of forest animals held a certain touch to it. The sounds of the forest sounded ethereal and at the same time settling.
Then, the atmosphere grew tense and the soft breeze stopped. The forest animals grew silent and the tree leaves no loneger rustled, as if they were waiting for the arrival of something.
As Grey who laid wearily on the floor, panting heavily suddenly felt something. The world around him darken and grew tense. When he opened his eyes, he saw a shocking scene.
There was a giant hand outstretched towards the world. The hand was so large that it covered most of the sky and so high that everyone around the world could see it. The hand seemed to block the rising sunlight and all everyone could see was the imposing huge hand that seemed ready to press down and end all lives.
All over the earth, everyone stood up and stopped whatever they were doing.
In the Imperial Palace, the king stood up from his throne. A young man who had similar features with Grey especially his characteristic grey eyes, stood by the side of the king as well. His expression was solemn.
The king had an indifferent expression on his face. "What you said has come to past." The king said with a strange expression on his face. His expression was complicated.
All over the world, everyone stopped what they were doing to stare at the descent of the giant hand. The hand slowly kept descending and then stopped. It didn't seem as if it would move any more again but its position was so high that every single person on the earth could see it. Its imposing figure let everyone feel its terrifying might even though it laid motionless in the sky.
The same way you could see the sun during the daytime, or the moon at night. The giant hand stayed there like a natural satellite of the earth.
"What in the netherlands is that?" Grey said but spoke softly. He felt extreme dread just looking at the hand. And although the hand did nothing other than stay in the sky outstreched, it was a fearsome sight. Everywhere was silent as if afraid of the hand.
Grey gulped and couldn't help but sweat. 'If the hand is this huge, what of the being that this hand his connected to?' He couldn't help but think and didn't like where his thought process was going to.
The crystal shard inside his chest that was usually calm, was now shaking violently. It kept releasing waves of cold energy. Grey felt his body temperature drop by several degrees but the cold waves did not stop, instead it kept on coming and in seconds Grey was turning into a frozen statue.
Just as he thought he was about to die, the crystal shard stopped shaking and all the cold waves of energy inside his body was sucked by into the crystal.
Then, the motionless hand in the sky suddenly let out a purple beam of light from its palm. The purple beam of light was very fast and it had erupted on the earth before anyone could notice.
The moment the purple light hit the earth, the world suddenly felt much more cold. The purple beam of light of light entered into the ground and was absorbed by the earth.
The earth seemed to shake violently and then a purple pillar of light rose up from the ground where the purple light had been absorbed.
As the purple pillar rose up into the sky, Grey suddenly felt the spiritual energy in the air get corroded. Plants and animals that were near the purple pillar got corroded instantly and some animals melted into blood instantly while some other animals went through a change instead.
The animals turned into mutated animals instead which moved closer to the purple pillar as if in reverence.
Even from far away, grey noticed the change and felt the spiritual energy in his body corroding and eating him up from inside. But then the crystal shard shone with a silver light and the corrosive substance in the spiritual energy was immediately neutralized. Grey gave a sigh of relief. For a second he had thought he was done for when he felt the spiritual energy mutating. 'What the hell id happening?'
Although the crystal shard kept neutralizing the corrosive subtance, more was still entering his body.
"I have to leave this area immediately. I don't want to believe the crystal shard can keep neutralizing the subtance."
So with a tired body and mind, Grey left the area and ran in the opposite direction. So far he would have died without the crystal shard. 'I guess it was really my luck that i found the crystal shard, ehh.'

After the descent of the hand, people began to call it gods hand and the purple beam of light it released was called the beam of judgement.
The beam would turn every area it is absorbed into a corroded zone. Every form of life within the corroded zone

A young boy of about 16 yrs was crouching in the bushes, silently waiting for his target. The boy had grey eyes and short hair.
Within the boy's eye was a calm calculating coldness. His expression was indifferent as he watched every movement of mutated rabbit several meters away.
The rabbit was eating the carcass of another mutated beast but would still be alert as it glanced both left and right every few seconds.
The moment the rabbit buried its head into the carcass completely, the boy moved at a very fast speed.
Maybe because the leaves rustled as the boy's rapid speed but the rabbit quickly made to get away as fast as it could.
But the boy wouldn't allow that. His eyes held a calm icy glint and with bare hands, he punched the rabbit with all his might.
The punch hit the rabbit straight in the head but all it did was fling was the rabbit away. It was not severely hurt but blood still rushed out from its mouth. The mutated rabbit bared its teeth as the boy and attempted to run away again. But the boy seemee to have had foreknowledge of that struck the rabbit again.
There was an awful animalistic moan that echoed through the forest but was muffled by the boy's hand. He quickly picked up the dying rabbit and ran as fast as possible.
The boy was naturally Grey. After two weeks of god's hand descent, the cultivation world had been thrown into chaos.
Creatures that were previously not strong would pose a problem after the mutation of the corrosive substance. For example the rabbit that Grey just hunted. The animal posed a threat of a second level qi condensation cultivator. And even though he was in the third level, he still had to use everything he's got before he could put it down noiselessly.
Over the past fourteen days, Grey had been pushed to the brink of death and back. Narrowly escaping such life-theatening situations by a hairs breadth. Now those situations had shaped him into a different person entirely.
He silently ran through the cover of the forest, carefully avoiding some places and watching where he stepped.
By the time the sun was already down, he had nestled into the comforts of a broken house devoid of any light. He panted heavily when he entered and made his entrance look unnoticeable.
When he started to hear the sounds of bizzare existences slowly move away from him, then did he heave a sigh of relief.
He placed the dead rabbit on the floor and prepared a small fire to roast the meat.
After skinning it and removing the organs with a rusty knife he had found in this very room, did he put it on the fire.
He checked the entrance to make sure there was no place where the fragrance of meat may drift off to and began to eat warily.
