"So," after a pause, Nora Scott lightly bit the corner of her lip and spoke swiftly and softly, "come upstairs with me."
As soon as she finished speaking, Nora turned and walked towards the main entrance.
She couldn't break free from the hand gripping her wrist, dragging along the person holding her as she walked inside.
The night breeze lifted her hair, fluttering behind her and brushing past her nose. Pedro Langley inhaled lightly, catching a faint scent of her hair cream, which made his heart skip a beat.

With a "click," the switch went on, and the lights in the living room suddenly lit up.
Having stayed here for a few days, Nora Scott hadn't done much besides washing up, rushing through drafts, and sleeping. Everything in the living room was the same as Pedro Langley had seen the last time he came.
Stopping at the entrance to change shoes, Nora tossed him a pair of men's slippers and said, "Guest room, study, sofa, you can sleep wherever you like."
