Chapter 1 - Before the storm.

We've all dreamt of becoming big, to be recognized, to be one day glorified as one of the best if not the greatest to ever done it... Doesn't matter what field or reason you have behind it, all that matters is "CAN YOU DO IT?".

*Clank*

A loud metallic sound breaks the silence of the room as the person's back came in contact with the locker, he was shoved against it by one of his peers.

Like a moth to a flame. i desperately reached for the light, for a chance, to change things that would finally make me... Just maybe, able to feel complete.

"What a useless bastard, I can't believe he singlehandedly lost us the game..."

*The four boys murmurs to themselves unsatisfied*

But "like a moth to a flame"....

Ignoring his teammates tantrums. he quickly changes into his normal clothes, replacing the black & red t-shirt with his name printed behind it. Once he's finished tidying himself, he quietly leaves the room and heads straight to the main office to hand out his resignation letter. He went inside and found it empty, he did not wait for anyone to arrive, instead he pinned the letter on a whiteboard and left.

After leaving the building. He was suddenly greeted by the snow, he had no idea that it was going to snow that night nor has he ever payed attention to weather forecast. He was jolted back to reality as a young girl who was running, bumped against him. As he's about to ask the kid if she's hurt, It suddenly ran off while giggling. Turns out she was getting chased by another kid.

He prayed for them to not slip as he looks at their disappearing figures blending with the crowd. He thought, how nice it is to be a kid. Free of any burdens, free. Once again. his thoughts was abruptly cut off by the buzzing of his phone sitting inside his pocket. There was a message asking him what time he's going to arrive and that the food will go cold if he did not hurry.

He smiled a little and puts back the phone to his pocket and continued his walk. he reached an intersection. Maybe it was today's disappointing performance that he was constantly flicking back and forth between his thoughts and reality. That it didn't occured to him how dangerous it is to space out, especially in public.

As he was about to cross the road. A blinding light and deafening sound suddenly brought him back to reality for the third time, he was hit. And hit the ground hard he did.

He was sent flying and laid on the ground motionless. He didn't know what had happened all he knew was that, he couldn't move and his sight is blurry. It was snowing that night. Yet, it wasn't cold... He felt warmth. It is most likely because of his blood whom is slowly covering the road red.

His breathing became sluggish.

There was another buzz inside his pocket, another message from the same user earlier named "Mom" the text contains a concerned mother asking his son if he's wearing a thick clothing as it is cold outside and don't want him to catch cold.

5 seconds later, another message came through.

-Mother:

Your father is also here, we are looking forward to seeing you again after 3 months.....

We love you, stay safe.

He closed his eyes and stopped breathing.

He died.

"He burned instead of shinning along side it."
