Pei Shu'er smiled and once again sent some water and pastries to the injured, giving each person a box of burn ointment.
When Pei Shu'er delivered the pastries to the abbot, she noticed the abbot glancing at her several times.
Then, his brows slightly furrowed, "Young lady, your destiny is truly strange."
Pei Shu'er, upon hearing the word 'destiny,' was keen to listen, and promptly squatted down to hear what the abbot had to say.
"Your destiny seems not to be your own."
Pei Shu'er's heart skipped a beat; this person had skills and seemed to have noticed something.
Pei Shu'er, always seeking a way to break through her predicament, couldn't help but ask.
"May I ask the high monk for his insight?"
The high monk said, "Your destiny seems to be intertwined with another. His life is your life; his death is your death."
Pei Shu'er was taken aback, not quite understanding.
Why would her destiny be entangled with someone else's? Hadn't she always faced her death alone?
