The sun rose over the town of Elyria, casting a warm glow over its bustling streets. The air was filled with the sweet scent of freshly baked bread wafting from the local bakery, mingling with the sound of chatter and laughter from the town's inhabitants.
The people were shopping in the local shops, some buying fruits, some vegetables, some people were going to their work. Some were talking with each other on the streets.
A local bakery near the clock tower of the town had already started baking breads, cookies and cakes for the customers, the nearby restaurant had already started preparing coffees and even breakfast for the customers.
Students were going to schools with their school bags on their shoulders, the cleaners were cleaning the footpaths, the garbage collectors were collecting garbage from the dustbins across the town.
A group of people were also collecting woods and sticks from the ground of the plain grasslands at the west side of the town which were actually between the town and the forest area. There were about countable trees in the plain land.
And amidst this vibrant backdrop, a child named Matthew Roberts had been still lying on his bed despite it being time for his school. His mom was preparing breakfast in the kitchen, downstairs.
Matthew's dad was reading the newspaper, sitting around the dining table in the kitchen, while Matthew's elder sister was helping with the household.
At the time, one of Matthew's friends Ethan Barbeque had already arrived outside of Matthew's house calling him for school.
"Hey, Matthew!" Ethan starts calling him, "Come out quickly!"
Matthew, still in bed, finally wakes up, looks around his room for a while and then gets out of his bed and walks up to the window of his room, to look outside.
Matthew walks up to the window and opens it up and then calls out to Ethan, "What the hell!?"
"Shit head! Come out quickly!" Ethan replies back.
Matthew kept looking at Ethan's face for a while and then asked, "Where?"
"School!" Ethan shouts back, "Idiot!"
"Where are the others?" Matthew asked.
"They are on their way!" Ethan said, "Now, you come down quickly!"
"Okay!" Matthew replied.
He closes the window of his room and then walks out of his room. He came downstairs and went to the bathroom, to brush his teeth.
He then takes a bath and then quickly runs to the kitchen. Matthew sits down next to his dad at the dining table.
"You wake up today, without even being called? How's that possible?" Matthew's Dad starts laughing.
He was trying to tease Matthew to create the morning happier for everyone.
Matthew's Sister starts laughing quietly after hearing her father's words.
"Ha-ha! Very funny!" Matthew speaks back to his sister.
"Obviously!" Matthew's Sister replied back while smiling at him.
Matthew quickly had his breakfast and then ran back to his room to grab his school bag. His parents were watching his actions from downstairs. Matthew again ran out of his room downstairs.
And then he went up to their main door to go outside to meet his friend Ethan. His dad kept looking at him till he went out and then he gave a smile and said to Matthew's Mom.
"I don't know when this boy will get serious with his actions?" His dad speaks up.
"We should wait for the perfect time to come!" Matthew's mom answered.
Matthew and Ethan's other friends, Emily Spengler, Ryan Doester and Sarah Koskoff, had already arrived outside of Matthew's house.
"How's everyone?" Matthew raised his hand to greet his friends.
"Shut up your greetings and get going! We are already late!" Ryan scolds him.
"Have you done your Mathematics Homework?" Emily asked Matthew.
"I don't know!" Matthew replied.
"Seriously!" Ryan added.
"Okay. Okay. Now, let's go to school first!" Sarah replied.
All of them started walking up to their Junior High School which is located at the Western side of their town, named Beri Hills.
Matthew Roberts, a tall and slim boy with brown eyes and blonde hair with a height of about 5.2 feet. He is very handsome with a light colored skin tone and he is often regarded as the leader of their group. He is a mix of serious nature and dumb behavior at moments. He had just turned 14 years old last month.
Matthew's dad is the manager of the only toy factory of the town and his mother is a housewife and his elder sister had just enrolled in one of the High School's of the town.
Ethan Barbeque, a boy of the same age as Matthew and his best friend. He is little shorter than Matthew and also slim just like him, he also had blonde hair with blue eyes and the same skin tone as Matthew, and he is considered as the leader-in-charge of Chaos caused by the group either in their school or around the town.
He is kind of a strategist of their group, having a more mischievous plan and way more smarter than some of the elders. His dad is in the Police, and his mother is a small time Event Manager. Ethan is a single child.
While on their way to school, the five friends, Matthew, Emily, Ryan, Sarah, and Ethan, engrossed in a heated discussion about their mathematics homework.
"I'm telling you, the answer is x equals 5!" Matthew exclaimed, his brown eyes sparkling with conviction. They had been walking down the market area near Matthew's home.
They all studied in the Tonseff Junior High School, located in the Berry Hills neighborhood of the town. It is about 2.5 km away from Matthew's home. The five friends actually live at the Western side of their town, which is a little far away from the center of the town.
"No way, Matt!" Sarah countered, her blonde ponytail bobbing as she shook her head. "It's x equals 3. I'm sure of it."
Ryan, with his messy black hair, chuckled and playfully rolled his eyes. "You guys are both wrong. It's obviously x equals 2."
Sarah Koskoff, the coolest and the smartest girl of their group, is of the same height as Ethan and also the same age as them. She has very fair skin color and also has medium length blonde ponytail hair, and is also the most beautiful girl of their School.
Her parents had died in an accident about 12 years ago, when Emily was 2 years old, and since then she had been living with her grandparents in Beri Hills.
