"We're on... the moon?!"
Kiyosuke stared through the crater opening, eyes wide as he saw the blue planet hanging above them. He slapped his face and groaned.
"I knew it—something weird had to happen. This makes no damn sense. Why can we even breathe up here?!"
He didn't bother trying to figure it out. After all, this world had long since stopped following the rules of logic.
There were beings like the Ōtsutsuki clan who could cross the stars.
So sure—oxygen on the moon, stable temperature, whatever. In this world, ninjutsu explained everything.
Ōtsutsuki Toneri climbed up from the ground, brushing off the dust.
"Such speed... unbelievable. I didn't expect you to move like that."
Sensing the Flying Thunder God mark on his back, he immediately used Yin–Yang Release to erase it.
"I won't give you another chance to teleport behind me," he said coldly.
Minato shook his head.
"I don't need to anymore."
In that instant, Kiyosuke flickered behind him. His arm swung out in a blur, and his fist slammed forward.
"Sometimes, speed really is everything," he said with a smirk.
The Truth-Seeking Orbs behind Toneri morphed into a shield to block the blow—but Kiyosuke's punch shattered both the shield and Toneri in one strike, sending him flying across the lunar surface.
As their battle raged on, they ended up on the cratered plains of the moon. Gazing up at the glowing blue world above, Kiyosuke stopped caring about how ridiculous everything was. There was no point trying to reason it out anymore.
In this world, ninjutsu justified all impossibilities.
"What terrifying power," Toneri muttered, awe mixing with frustration. "For someone from the world the Sage of Six Paths created to be this strong... It's unexpected. But I'm not weak either."
He grinned bitterly.
If he couldn't win even with the Tenseigan, he might as well die!
"Naruto!"
"Got it!"
Naruto nodded and charged forward beside Kiyosuke.
Two blazing orange streaks tore across the lunar ground, vanishing and reappearing before Toneri in an instant.
Their fists slammed into his face at the same time, sending him flying.
Boom!
His body crashed into a massive crater. Toneri groaned, pain wracking his insides—he could feel internal bleeding.
He quickly formed seals to heal himself.
Two beams of light streaked down from the starry sky.
Crash!
Two feet landed squarely on his Truth-Seeking Orbs.
"Silver Wheel Reincarnation Explosion!!"
A green storm burst out, flinging both Kiyosuke and Naruto backward. Toneri rose slowly into the air, forming seals with both hands as countless chunks of lunar rock lifted and hovered around him, then shot toward them like bullets.
Kiyosuke and Naruto dodged in sync. Toneri's eyes narrowed; several Truth-Seeking Orbs floated beside him, spinning rapidly into shuriken-like weapons that he hurled at them.
"Rasenshuriken!"
A golden, nine-tailed chakra-infused Rasenshuriken spun out from Naruto's hand and clashed against the dark spiraling Truth-Seeking shuriken.
BOOM!
The explosion was deafening, the blast wave almost blowing Kiyosuke off his feet.
"Seriously?! That blast was massive! Guess you've really learned from me!"
"Not the time for jokes!" Minato called out beside him. "That kind of power... only your kid might inherit it."
Kiyosuke shrugged.
"Who knows if my boy will inherit anything? These things depend on luck and talent."
He sighed.
"Still, this guy's trickier than Madara in some ways."
"No," Kiyosuke said firmly. "Madara's tougher. At least Madara doesn't die so easily."
He cut himself off when he saw a golden light forming in Toneri's hands.
Several Truth-Seeking Orbs merged together, coalescing into a colossal yellow sword that radiated blinding power. It looked like it could slice through the heavens themselves.
"Golden Wheel Reincarnation Explosion!!!" Toneri roared.
"Run!!!"
Rumble!!!
The massive sword fell, cleaving through the moon like a hot knife through butter. Rocks and dust scattered everywhere, and a thunderous roar echoed across space—
Even though space was supposed to be silent!
"That's... not how physics works!" Kiyosuke shouted.
He froze, realization dawning on his face.
"Wait, Minato... I just remembered something terrifying."
"What is it?" Minato asked, frowning.
Kiyosuke's expression darkened.
"Back then, the Sage of Six Paths and his brother sealed their mother, Ōtsutsuki Kaguya, and that seal became the moon. So... now that the moon's been split, what do you think happens?"
Minato's eyes widened.
"Oh no... the seal's... broken!"
They both looked down—and sure enough, an overwhelming wave of chakra surged up from beneath the lunar surface.
"This is bad," Kiyosuke said grimly. "Minato, go back to Konoha and bring Sasuke here. The enemy we're facing now... is the ancestor of all chakra!"
"..."
So much for reviving just to attend his son's wedding—Minato was speechless.
"And bring two White Zetsu along while you're at it," Kiyosuke added casually.
"Understood."
Just then, Neji and Sai arrived with Hanabi. Perfect timing. Without another word, Minato gathered Kushina, Hinata, Neji, and the others, teleporting them all back to Konoha.
Kiyosuke turned to Naruto.
"Naruto, things just got complicated. I went out of my way to take down Madara early so you guys wouldn't have to face Kaguya. But now it looks like we're going to face the ancestor of chakra anyway. Maybe this really is fate."
He then looked over at Toneri.
"Stop fighting. Your ancestor's waking up. We're all in deep trouble now."
"Ancestor... Hamura-sama?" Toneri asked instinctively, but as he felt that vast chakra rising, his face went pale. Memories of old legends surfaced in his mind.
"No... impossible. Kaguya should've been—"
"Sealed, not killed," Kiyosuke interrupted. "A seal doesn't destroy the target—it just locks them in a state. For an ordinary person, they'd die of time eventually, sure. But for the progenitor of chakra? Different story."
He glared at Toneri.
"Seriously, what possessed you to cut the damn moon? Did it offend you somehow?!"
You could fight all you wanted—but why slice the moon in half?!
It didn't even do anything!
Toneri finally calmed down. Compared to Naruto and Kiyosuke, Kaguya was far more terrifying—a being so powerful that even the Sage of Six Paths had needed help to seal her.
He slowly descended.
"Then I'll do what our ancestors did," he said solemnly. "I'll seal Ōtsutsuki Kaguya once more!"
"Are you out of your mind?!" Kiyosuke snapped. "Don't think having the Tenseigan makes you invincible! That's Kaguya! Two of you wouldn't even scratch her!"
Kaguya might've been naive and childlike—but her power was absurd.
The progenitor of chakra, a full-blooded Ōtsutsuki, she had more abilities than anyone alive. She didn't even need to fight properly to annihilate entire armies of shinobi.
Even Six Paths Naruto and Rinnegan Sasuke had nearly died against her.
And you? One guy with a Tenseigan?
Not even worth mentioning!
