Ten years ago, Kakashi, as a member of the ANBU, accepted a mission from the Land of Snow.
He was sent there on assignment, but by the time he arrived, the country's daimyo—his employer—had been overthrown.
In the end, the situation was hopeless.
On top of that, the Snow ninja's chakra armor made them nearly unbeatable.
Even Kakashi couldn't defeat them.
The daimyo entrusted him with taking his daughter away to safety.
During that mission, Kakashi crossed paths with a man named Rouga Nadare.
As an adult, empowered by the technology of the Land of Snow, Nadare was formidable.
And with Kakashi needing to protect the princess, he had no choice but to flee.
He hadn't expected Nadare to bring up that old incident the moment they met again…
Forget it.
Kakashi couldn't be bothered to argue with him.
He was more concerned about why these people had come here.
As Nadare appeared, more and more Snow ninja emerged.
Aside from the man Kiyosuke had stomped to death at the start, everyone Hinata had spotted earlier was now here—rising from the snow and standing before them.
"An honored welcome to you, Princess Koyuki."
A pink-haired kunoichi, also clad in chakra armor, stood atop a block of ice.
Her graceful figure was accentuated by the tight suit she wore, giving her a provocative air.
Hands on her hips, she said,
"I wonder… did you bring the Crystal?"
"Did she just say… 'Princess Koyuki'?"
Kakashi turned to look at Yukie Fujikaze, who he was shielding behind him.
Right now, Yukie looked completely bewildered—she clearly had no idea what was going on.
Nearby, Asama Sandayū broke into a cold sweat.
He hadn't expected to run into the minions of Kazahana Doto here of all places…
But at least they still had some of the strongest fighters in the ninja world on their side.
"Hahaha! As expected of Hatake Kakashi—you found us so easily. Not bad. And that other ninja is no pushover either!"
From the snow, a burly man with beady eyes, built like a bear and riding a snowboard, rose to his feet, laughing heartily.
Kakashi said,
"Sasuke, Naruto, Sakura—you're in charge of protecting Miss Yukie! Everyone, get back to the ship!"
The film crew froze, glancing at each other in confusion.
They had no idea what to do next.
Arms crossed, Nadare smirked confidently.
"Fubuki, Mizore—Princess Koyuki is yours."
"Tch, what a pain."
Fubuki Kakuyoku gave a displeased huff before leaping down from the ice block.
Nadare hopped down from the ice ridge as well, meeting Kakashi head-on.
"This time you're not running away? Just like last time, Kakashi."
"Rouga… Nadare…"
Without another word, the two clashed.
Kiyosuke called out,
"Hinata, Kiba, Shino—get the film crew out of here. That's your top priority."
"Yes!"
The three moved into action immediately, while Kiyosuke charged toward the snowboarder sliding rapidly in their direction—Fuyukuma Mizore.
"Hahaha! Let's see how strong shinobi from outside the Land of Snow really are!"
Mizore roared with laughter as he sped forward on his board.
Along the way, Sasuke's kunai and Fūma shuriken failed to pierce the solid armor on his body.
Kiyosuke's eyes lit up with interest.
The Land of Snow had its own national ninja force, heavy industry, and—most notably—chakra technology more advanced than any other country.
If his teacher were here, he'd be thrilled.
"Alright then—let's see just how strong you Snow ninja really are!"
In the blink of an eye, Kiyosuke's figure vanished into the snow.
His speed was so fast it made people click their tongues in disbelief.
"So fast!"
Sasuke had already activated his Sharingan, yet he still couldn't catch Kiyosuke's movement.
This was the body speed of Kiyosuke-dono…
Even Mizore was caught off guard—it was simply too quick!
Kiyosuke appeared behind him, grinned, and slammed a fist into his back.
Boom!
Mizore flew off the snowboard entirely, tumbling away.
Kiyosuke chuckled.
"Like snowboarding, huh? Come on, I'll teach you. First lesson's free if you can't get it."
He strolled toward where Mizore had crashed into the snow.
From within the swirling snow-dust, the bear-like man rose to his feet.
The armor on his right hand clanged as he swung it down toward Kiyosuke's head.
Kiyosuke swung back with his own fist.
Boom!
Fist met iron gauntlet, and an invisible shockwave rippled outward, scattering the snow around them.
"What strength!"
Even Mizore couldn't believe it.
That lean, well-proportioned body was packing more raw power than most men he'd ever met—and this was with his chakra armor enhancing his own strength.
Is this guy even human? he thought.
"Looks like that chakra armor's boosting your strength. The Land of Snow's tech is better than I expected."
Kiyosuke's eyes lingered on the armor with interest.
Mizore said proudly,
"This armor was specially developed for our country's shinobi.
It greatly boosts our strength.
No matter how strong you are, before us you'll only meet death.
I'll kill you, freeze your head, and keep it as my trophy!"
"Hahahaha!"
Kiyosuke burst out laughing like he'd just heard the funniest joke in years.
"Hey, Kakashi—did you hear that? He says he's going to kill me! Not since the Third Shinobi World War ended has anyone dared say that to my face. This is a rare treat—worth hearing just for the laugh."
"I'm telling you, quit fooling around."
Kakashi sidestepped Nadare's strike, speaking to Kiyosuke in exasperation.
"Hmph. That's only because you don't understand the technological might of the Land of Snow. Our tech is the best in the world!"
Mizore seemed eager to make him understand the power of their chakra armor.
"This armor boosts our chakra, strengthens every kind of jutsu, creates a chakra defense barrier, and can neutralize chakra-based attacks.
It can even reverse your chakra flow.
No ninjutsu or genjutsu works against it!"
"No wonder something felt off earlier."
Kiyosuke had assumed the armor's defensive power was simply built-in.
Now it made sense—it not only negated his chakra, but combined with its own durability, it had allowed Mizore to survive his earlier punch.
Without this armor, Mizore's strength probably wouldn't surpass an average Konoha chūnin—maybe not even reach special jōnin level.
But with the armor, he could go toe-to-toe with a jōnin and still walk away from Kiyosuke's punch.
"This armor's not bad… I think I'll take it back with me for a closer look."
Kiyosuke's eyes glimmered with a hungry light.
