(Police POV)
We were on our usual patrol around the town until dispatch notified us of a possible 10-67 at 35 Park Street. We immediately drove over there, and after a few minutes of driving, we finally arrived at the crime scene and saw the mangled body.
Both my partner and I were trying our best not to puke at the sight. We moved toward any sign of witnesses, but to our disappointment, there wasn't a single one.
Then we noticed the cameras scattered around the area. We entered one of the stores and asked if we could have access to the cameras for an investigation. They agreed, but then they told us something.
"Um... Mr. Officer, if you're going to watch the footage near 35 Park Street, I advise you to hold your stomach."
We looked at each other, a little confused, and nodded.
We finally opened the computer and watched as a man who looked like he was in his mid-40s got absolutely overwhelmed by different things trying to kill him at once.
And finally, he was struck by lightning.
The video ended. Both of us were too stunned to speak. We closed the computer, left the store, and headed back to the shop.
We entered the shop and just sat there.
"I think... we need to report this."
"Absolutely."
They started the car, but before they could even leave, the car blew up—killing them both in a fiery explosion.
