A boy with dark hair and pale white skin is sleeping on the bed.
The room was mostly empty, but with some green curtains and bamboo in a pot filled with water beside the window.
Sunlight rushed through the gap between the curtains and landed on the boy's face. He wakes up. With half-open eyes, and throws the blanket aside.
Then he stretched his hand and legs and rubbed his eyes lightly.
"I have had a good sleep in a while," he thought.
He stood up from the bed, walked towards the window, and moved the curtains aside.
He saw quite an abnormal weather. It was raining, but somehow the sky was shining bright.
"So bright," he murmured.
Then he slid the door open, It was an old-style Japanese house.
He went downstairs and saw a woman making breakfast, it was his mother.
"Morning, baby. You're up earlier than usual." His mother said in a playful voice.
He looked at his mother.
His mother was wearing green night pajamas like his. Her brownish hair reaches her waist, her skin is a little paler than her son it was almost like white paper, with her lips were light pink and bright brown eyes.
He looked at her with little dark eyes with no expression.
"Mom!" He shouted in his heart, and his expressionless face became bright while his lips curled up.
He walked up the stairs and sat at the dining table.
"You're not gonna give your mom a morning Hug." She said in a playful tone."Mom, I am not a baby anymore." He said.
His mother then crossed her arms, puffing her pinkish cheeks like a kid.
He thought his mother was lively.
He admitted his defeat. "Alright, alright, no need to be like mom."
Hugging her mom, he feels her warm skin and her two fat melons touching his ribs. It was a warm and comfortable feeling.
"Kaito, you've grown taller again," his mother said, tilting her head up to meet his eyes. Her gaze barely reached his chin.
"Mom, can we just sit down and have breakfast now?" He said while looking down at her mom,
Who is hugging him more tightly now?
With a little sad face, "You didn't even like to hug your mom when you were little, you used to sleep while hugging me tightly."
"That's not what I mean, Mom."
Kaito hugs his mom more tightly now. "You're always my mom, who I love the most, no matter what happens."
After a while, they sat down and started having breakfast.
"Mom, you always cook so good, I feel like outside food has no taste."
"Then I will teach you, so you can cook for me when I am sick. His mother said in a playful tone.
Kaito smiles, "With your cooking and running with me in the fresh air outside, how can we get sick?"
"Hehe, I have a present for you tonight then."
Kaito seemed to be in deep thought and said. "You gonna make chocolate cake for me, am I right?"
His mother looks disappointed. "You always find out, I like to keep that one a secret."
…After a While, both Kaito and his mother are in the living room and watching the abnormal weather outside.
The rain was heavier now, and the bright light from the sky was getting brighter. Almost everything looked white outside.
"Kaito, see the light coming behind those clouds, it's looking like we're in heaven."
"Yeah, you're right, Mom. It's a beautiful sight," Even though He said this, inside his heart, Kaito felt uneasy for some reason.

She was somewhat worried about Kaito, then herself.
Seeing her face, Kaito can tell that she is more worried about him, not herself.
This was another issue for Kaito's survival because if he got into some kind of danger, she was not gonna sit back and watch, even most people forget about loved ones when facing that kind of horrifying creatures.

Soon, rain started, but it was red, almost like blood, and ear-piercing roars of monsters could be heard.
Kaito hugs his mom, covering her eyes and ears.
He signed in his mind, "With this rain, monsters should be hiding. It would be a perfect opportunity to run right away after the rain stops.
If a single drop of blood like drop fell on his head, it would be over for him.
Suddenly, a monster with a wolf-like body with a pairs of blood like red horn jumped from the sky, and the surrounding rocks were sent flying, pieces through the trees.
One small rock piece flew towards them, but Kaito blocked it in time with his forearm, and he ended breaking his arm, his bone could be seen.
The monster's head, fur on his body, and skin are melting. He stared at the pair of son and mother.
