Chapter 33 - 33. Do you think the Sacred Fist is beneath you?, New Equipment

As training continued, a clear difference emerged—between genius and fool.

No offense, Hinata told herself. Just facts.

"Gyaaah!"

Naruto yelped—again. It was the tenth time Sasuke had floored him using "Solo Execution," a spinning kick. The blonde flailed each time like a knocked-over rag doll.

With only four moves to learn, Sasuke had quickly mastered them and even started improvising variations. At this point, Naruto could no longer rely on his superior stamina to outlast him in hand-to-hand fights.

"Hmph, dead last. With skills like that, you'll never beat me."

Still, Sasuke was panting. Even with ten knockdowns, fighting Naruto was exhausting. The guy was like a brick wall with too much energy.

"Damn it... I'm not done yet!"

Bruised and gasping, Naruto tried to stand again. But even a Jinchuriki had limits. After a few shaky attempts, he collapsed on his back.

Seeing this, Sasuke finally exhaled and dropped down himself. Half an hour of beating on Naruto had drained him dry.

"That's enough for today," Hinata said coldly, sitting cross-legged atop a wooden post. She dropped her chakra-focusing hand sign and stared at Naruto.

"Honestly, Sasuke's already using the moves skillfully. But you, Naruto—you either don't understand them or you never intended to learn in the first place."

Her tone was biting.

"To me, it looks like you were just handing your face to Sasuke's fists again and again. Do you think the Sacred Fist is beneath you?"

Truth be told, Naruto's grasp of the techniques was awful. At first he'd tried, but as the fight went on, his moves became increasingly chaotic. He clearly hadn't absorbed the mechanics.

"I tried my best! I really did! But I can't use those moves properly in an actual fight!"

Hinata's white eyes were icy. "No excuses. If you know you lack talent, you should be working harder, not whining to me."

"Geniuses can memorize a technique in ten hits. Idiots need a hundred—maybe a thousand. Since you're clearly not a genius, I don't need to explain what you should be doing. Dismissed."

From his tree perch, Kakashi winced slightly. This girl really didn't pull punches. But from what he'd seen, her four techniques were incredibly effective. Simple, practical, and scalable—no wonder Sasuke had taken to them so fast.

Naruto, though… definitely not a genius. He'd need to work ten times harder to keep up.

As night fell, peace settled again over the Hidden Leaf. Hinata strolled through the village streets, her mood calm. Her plans were progressing well—despite a few hiccups.

The film group was running smoothly with Shikamaru's help. She didn't even need to be there much. And with Kakashi and others watching from the shadows, safety wasn't a concern. She just needed to keep collecting money.

Training-wise, the Sacred Fist's methods were proving valid. Even if Naruto was slow, he was a hardworking protagonist-type. He'd pulled off Rasengan and Shadow Clone Jutsu before—he'd figure these out eventually.

Still, there was a major missing piece.

Even though she was drawing from arcade-style moves like those in Kusanagi-style martial arts, there was one thing missing—elemental infusion.

In the games, Kusanagi punches burned with fire. If she couldn't add elemental chakra to her strikes, it would all remain flashy fluff.

(Note: Starting in The King of Fighters '96, Kyo has mixed martial artists involving the Kusanagi style and a personal style of kenpō.)

In the shinobi world, chakra was converted to elements through hand signs—Water Dragon Jutsu, Chidori, and the like. But that wasn't good enough. She needed to skip signs and launch elemental attacks instantly.

She needed a way to transform chakra into elements without seals.

That's when her eyes landed on a well-lit shop window—rows of shuriken, explosive tags, and throwing fans. A ninja tool shop.

The sign above read simply: "Tenten's Ninja Tools."

Of course! Tenten, weapons specialist from the original series, ran a shop just like this. It made sense that this would be one of their branches.

Feeling inspired, Hinata pushed open the door.

"Welcome! Can I help you with something?"

The cheerful voice came from a bun-haired girl behind the counter—Tenten herself. Her smile faded a bit when she noticed the white eyes. "Oh~ you're from the Hyuga clan?"

"Do you carry a wide selection of tools?"

Hinata ignored the small talk and got straight to business. Surprised but polite, Tenten nodded.

"Ah, yes! We have the best selection in the village. Is there something specific you're looking for?"

"I'm looking for..."

Hinata scanned the displays. Something was forming in her mind. Then her eyes fell on a pair of metal knuckles. Inspiration struck.

"Do you have any tools that can directly convert a ninja's chakra into elemental effects?"

"Huh? But Hyuga-style... ahem—yes! You mean Hoshoseki Iron, right?"

Bingo. Hinata's eyes lit up. She remembered now—Asuma Sarutobi's famous chakra blades! They absorbed his wind chakra and extended it into deadly wind-edged blades. They could even channel Shikamaru's shadow chakra to immobilize enemies.

"Exactly. What's this Hoshoseki Iron?"

Tenten hesitated at first, wanting to chat, but Hinata's cold gaze shut that down fast. Still, she dutifully answered.

"Well, different tools are forged from different materials. Hoshoseki Iron is a rare metal that can absorb and manifest the user's chakra nature. But... you're not thinking of buying something like that, are you?"

"Three pairs of gloves made from it. Can your shop handle that order?"

Hinata smiled faintly. She was already planning ahead.

Hinata could feel it—she'd finally broken through the mental barrier that had been holding her back. She'd found the key to advancing her Sacred Fist.

A tool that could absorb chakra nature and manifest it physically—if she had a pair of gloves like that, they could absorb her own fire chakra and turn her punches into flames. In other words, her fists would become the true Kusanagi Fists.

Of course. In those old arcade games, the heir of Kusanagi martial arts always wore flame-emblazoned gloves.

"Huh?? Are you serious? That stuff is super expensive!"

Tenten was visibly surprised, leaning forward over the counter to emphasize her point. "To make three pairs of those gloves, you're looking at at least one million ryo!"

"Money's not an issue."

Hinata leaned in just as casually, locking eyes with Tenten, her gaze glinting with confidence.

"I'm only asking—can your store handle it?"

"Uh… if you're serious… I guess we can. But the material's rare, so it'll take about half a month. And we'd need at least one-third up front…"

Tenten swallowed hard. She was already starting to guess who this was—the cold, pale-eyed girl around Neji's age, spending money like water? There could only be one person: the rumored heiress of the Hyuga clan.

"I told you—if money can solve it, it's not a problem."

Hinata smoothly pulled out her wallet and signed a check for 300,000 ryo, pushing it across the counter. That was all she had in the bank for now, but she was confident she'd earn the rest in the next two weeks.

"O-of course! We'll have them ready in two weeks. Just bring the balance when you come to pick them up…"

Staring at the check, Tenten tried her best to stay composed. This girl really was the real deal—a clan heiress with power and poise, casually throwing down enough cash to make a jōnin sweat.

"Perfect~ I'll wait with patience—and high expectations."

Clenching her fists in satisfaction, Hinata's pale eyes sparkled with pride. This world might've forced her into it in the worst possible way, but she was starting to find real joy here.

Humanity's strength lies in mastering tools, after all.

The Blackened Isekai Anime Heroine

Author: Gemini no Ling

Some readers at MTL read were saying this got better in the latter chapters? I haven't read that far, so I have no idea.)

(PS: i tried searching for the 'Hoshoseki Iron' and 'Asuma Sarutobi's famous chakra blades'. For the first there was no result and for the second it just said they made of special metal.

So author must made up the name. Meaning that is not a canon name.)
