Chapter 27 - improving strength

There were only 26,000 dark points left.

Toji sat in the dim corner of his consciousness space, flipping through the system mall like a broke kid in a candy store.

Rinnegan — 400,000 points.

Sage Body — 400,000 points.

Toji stared blankly at the list.

"…Damn."

He sighed.

Everything's so damn expensive.

Still, after reading the details on these over-the-top items, he had to admit… they were worth it. The system didn't sell knockoffs. If you bought the Rinnegan, you got the whole package—no bootleg abilities. All the powers, all the perks. Same with Hashirama's Sage Body. Full Wood Release, and way stronger than the original.

But at these prices?

Toji might as well forget about it.

No point dreaming about the top shelf when you're living on ramen money.

Time to be realistic.

He exited the system mall and rubbed his temples. "Think, Toji…"

He had to spend what little he had wisely.

26,000 points wasn't a small amount, but it wasn't enough to splurge on god-tier powerups either.

A single permanent A-rank ninjutsu? Doable.

Permanent A-rank taijutsu? Also within reach.

There were even some bloodline limits in that price range.

But none of it mattered if his body couldn't even use chakra properly.

Let's be honest—he had no chakra reserves right now. Not enough to pull off anything flashy.

Learning a jutsu was useless if he couldn't even light a match with his chakra.

Taijutsu?

Wouldn't help much either. He had the skills, but not the stamina or muscle to back it up in a fight. His body just wasn't cut out for it—yet.

So Toji made a decision.

What he really needed first… was the talent to refine chakra.

Minato and Kushina's scrolls were sitting in his consciousness space, practically begging to be studied. That stuff was gold. As long as he could use chakra, that knowledge alone could make him a force to be reckoned with.

Even if he didn't buy another upgrade after that, he'd still be set.

But of course, nothing was that simple.

The system listed talents in ranks: S, A, B, C, D.

Minato's talent was marked A+. Cost? 25,000 points.

Toji hovered his finger over the "Buy" button… but hesitated.

What if it didn't work?

What if he got this high-end talent but his body still couldn't generate chakra because of his blood?

He'd be stuck—just another wannabe ninja with "great potential" and zero results.

Not about to risk it, Toji backed out and checked the bloodline limit section first instead to see if there's anything worthwhile.

Maybe this was smarter. Some bloodlines naturally had strong chakra compatibility.

He scrolled through the list.

Uchiha bloodline — 250,000 points.

Hyuga — 200,000.

Uzumaki — 200,000.

"Are you kidding me?!"

Every decent bloodline was way out of budget.

Grumbling, he scrolled to the bottom where the discounted versions were.

Same clans, but just the blood—no active powers, no cool techniques unlocked. He'd have to train those up from scratch.

Still, it was something.

And the Uzumaki bloodline caught his eye.

Minato and Kushina's scrolls were already packed with Uzumaki knowledge. If he had their blood, he could probably make better use of it. Plus, if he ever needed to manipulate Naruto more deeply in the future… having the same blood would definitely help maybe if his hair turned a little red it would be better.

It just made sense.

Decision made.

Uzumaki bloodline, low-tier — 20,000 points.

Purchased.

Toji left the consciousness space and opened his eyes in the real world.

He waited.

Nothing.

No pain, no warmth. No transformations.

Still looked the same in the bathroom mirror—still handsome, still him.

"…Well, that was pretty anticlimactic."

Just to be safe, he closed up his little restaurant early, pulled the shades, and sat cross-legged on the floor. Time to give chakra refining another shot. let's hope all those "cultivation" "Douhou" "almighty venerable" fanfics he read would help

He opened Minato's scroll and got to reading.

Technically, he already knew the basics: chakra = mental energy + physical energy. Every Naruto fan knew that much.

But the actual process of doing it?

It was… surprisingly vague.

Minato's instructions basically boiled down to:

"Picture your cells and your mind as living things. Then… imagine them fusing. Keep meditating until something happens."

Toji blinked.

"This is it? This is how ninja become walking war machines?"

Still, what choice did he have?

If it came down to imagination, he had that in spades.

He cleared his mind and got started.

One hour passed.

Then two.

"Cells… mental energy… blend, damn it…"

Third hour in, something shifted.

A tiny pulse of energy sparked in his abdomen. Warm, subtle—but real.

He shot to his feet, stunned.

His senses sharpened. His body felt lighter. a little Stronger. Cleaner. It was like someone had cracked open a dam and let power flow through him.

Even old aches and pains—neck stiffness, wrist soreness—vanished mostly.

"Holy crap," Toji muttered. "So this… this is chakra?"

He clenched his fist, practically buzzing with energy.

He hadn't even started training for real yet—and already, he felt like he could run a marathon, punch through a wall, or finally stop needing pain patches for his shoulder.

For the first time since arriving in this world, he wasn't just an outsider watching from the sidelines.

He was finally part of the game of this ninja world. well even though he's still weak asf everything will be better
