"Let me introduce you to your professors of this establishment. The ones that will teach you how to become an extraordinary wizard and a dutiful protector for the realm of Axis." The lady's voice rings out into the auditorium hall.
A person dressed in a purple hooded robe walks out from behind her. They slide their hood off, letting the rest of their robe fall to the floor.
A built man with brown hair and a chunk of purple-colored hair on the left side of his head reveals himself. The man stands tall, imposing, arms folded to his chest with two swords fastened to his back.
'A sword.' Lux notices his eyes falling on the blade fastened to his back. 'Unconventional, but understandable. He must be a magic swordsman. It's not rare that people from this world switch from the conventional statements said in fairy tales, where mages must wield staffs. In this case, mages can wield anything once their magic is compatible with it, of course.'
He subconsciously thanks the real Lux Maxwell for that information.
"Professor, Vice. Head of the velvets. He will be in control of all of your house affairs." The woman in the black states.
'I wonder what a professor's possibility might be. It would make it a lot easier to know if I would be able to defeat Ansil.'
[...Individuals' magic circle is too high. This makes viewing their profiles unobtainable unless you advance in your leveling...]
'Well, butternuts.' He sighs. 'This is going to be harder than I expected. In the real world, we didn't have magic to worry about when assassinating someone. It was easy. One shot to the head and their dead.' He grimaces just at the thought of it. 'In this world, they might just grow back a new one.'
[Precisely. There was such a man, long dead now.']
Lux only stares at the system dumbfounded as an orange-cloaked one walks up.
"Professor Magnolia. Head of the Ambers family." A stunning woman, with knee-length blonde hair, orange strands weaving around it, smiles at the students.
'Gorgeous face, slender body with extra proportions in the right places. Seems like she can put up a fight too.' A malicious grin forms on his face. 'And of legal age. Just my type. But.' His smile drops. 'I don't do women when I have a mission to complete; it complicates things. (Not the fact that I'm a sixty-year-old trapped in a seventeen-year-old body.) And I don't do magical women; it seems like trouble.'
"Doesn't she have the magical ability of pleasure?" Someone whispers far from Lux, but he can hear them as clear as day.
"Yeah, she's a 6th circle mage; imagine the level of power she has." His friends say back to him.
"Who cares? Just look at her; I'd take her any day!"
'Yep. Trouble.' He nods, listening to their conversation.
Another one walks up, their pink coat flopping to the floor. "Professor Cherry, head of the Rosettes."
Her bright pink hair is the first thing noticed by all, and unlike her name, the sudden stiffness in the air contrasts with her brightened facial expression.
'It's like a weight hanging in the air, right over my head like a guillotine. Ha.' he stifles his laugh. 'I'm using medieval references. This place is getting to me.'
Still, even though he joked about it, the weight that suddenly appeared made all of them shudder. The innocent smile of her childlike features—it all seems like a hoax, a front she's hiding but can't quite cover up with just a smile.
Finally, it clears as the other steps up, removing their blue cloak.
"Professor Hideaki, head of the Azures." Where there were no blue strands of hair, frankly because he had none.
His bald head shone like the sun under the dim torch's blaze.
Lux covers his eyes, as do the other students. 'Even at my age I had nice short hair; though it was grey, it was thick, unlike his.'
He winces as the shine grows brighter.
'Why didn't they use his head as the sun instead.'
Just as the shine brightens more, Magnolia throws her robe over his head.
"Keep that one." She orders, and he nods obediently.
"Sorry, children." The one in the black says before continuing.
The one in the green robe strides forward, the confidence blatantly evident with each stride. "Professor Axe. Head of the Verdants." He rips off his cloak, dramatically flipping his lush green hair, his pointed ears showing for a split second as he poses.
'Wow,' Lux hisses. 'Dramatic much.' He isn't alone in this thought, as even I thought the same. 'He is an elf, though, just like Saeris.'
To his right, the door cracks open, light spilling through as Saeris shuffles in, looking around for a second before meeting his. She waves, then joins his side.
'What a weird coincidence.' He remarks.
"I see my brother has revealed himself." Her eyes fall on the man still posing on the stage. "He has been practicing those poses for ages."
"So he is your brother." He asks, a bit flabbergasted.
"Yep, by blood." She answers as if it were a hassle to have him as one.
'I can only imagine.'
"Seems like I came here for the good ones."
The lady cloaked in black steps forward as Axe leaves, a smile of accomplishment lingering on his face. Her hands move from her side to right under her hood, and she opens it. "Me, the head of the second leading family, the Obsidians. Professor Ansil."
'Butternuts."
