She walked steadily, about to cross the side walk when someone zoomed passed her making her stumble, the last pizza pack almost fell but she caught it just in the nick of time. The person in the auto mobile stopped, removing his helmet that shielded his face-his hazy brown eyes just looked down at her rising his helmet, about to put it on.
"Dude! What's your problem!? You don't just ride around the city like it's your playground" she said getting up, but he just put back the helmet, started his engine and zoomed off. "Bastard" she murmured before checking the pizza to make sure it wasn't messed up. Crossing the road,she climbed the bike, checking the next delivery house before riding off.

Walking into the house, she pulled out her Snickers before removing her ear piece. "Moon" you're back... it's late" someone called from the kitchen, it was her mother walking towards her, getting closer, she walked towards the side table, placing an envelope on the desk. The lady snapped towards the envelope to collect it's content. "Moon!" She called making the girl to stop but not turn, she continued " I signed the parent's concern letter, you'll be starting school tomorrow and it will..."
" I can't start school, I didn't tell my boss" moon cut in.
"Like it or not you're starting school.....this is the only opportunity we've got..... it's a prestigious school and that's the least your damn father could do" she said but moon had already walked up to her room. "Damn you Roland" she muttered and fell on a sofa.
The next day, she wore a white T shirt over a black trouser, styling her hair up, she picked up her phone leaving the room, taking her breakfast,her mum walked in ready to escort her. "I'm going to follow you to school then I'll go else where" "Ok."
Walking into the school compound, it really did meant it's fame "west high school " was one of the famous and prestigious school that screamed high class, even from the entrance. It was a school for mostly influential and wealthy people.
Mrs Macaulay left after moon's registration leaving moon to get her way to the class- she was directed by the school's vice secretary into her new class.
Getting close to the new class, they could hear some noise and fading conversations. By then, the teacher was already called that he had a new student.
"Good day class, please can I have your attention.....? Everyone!!" The teacher said snapping his fingers, when everywhere was finally quiet, he cleared his throat...we have a new student in the class" he said drawing their attention.
Moon was ushered in, walking into the class- she was wearing a black face cap, covering her face.
"Mrs Macaulay, you can introduce yourself now" he told her.
".....hhhhii....my name is moon Macaulay, I'm a transfer student" she said steadily, after few uncomfortable minutes and the teacher was sure she wasn't saying anything else, she was ushered in to an empty seat behind the class.
"Okay class, let's begin"

Time went swiftly for moon, as she plunged into her ear piece and listened to juice world,her favorite musician. It was break period and nearly all the students have left the class, she was enjoying her music when someone sitting next to her tapped her on the shoulder and she took off her earpiece.
"Hi... I'm Kelly, I'm the class representative" she stopped to take a look at her.
"Oh, seems like you're not the talking type.....no problem.... you'll get confidence..... our school is the...she kept chattering so much,moon thought it was best to put on her ear piece but on a second thought, it seemed rude.
She suddenly stopped.
"Looks like you haven't gotten your uniforms, I'll help you out to the bursary.....come on.." she said, next thing,they were strolling down the hall ways,Kelly thought it wise to show her out.
Passing the field, her attention moved to a court where group of players were practicing noticing it was the only thing that had drawn her attention since their stroll,she drew her close.
"Well, this is our basketball court... it's amazing right? Like our school is top best players in the international....."
Soon, a guy walked in with two other boys behind him, tying a black Mexican design bandana over a black and white basketball jersey. "Who are those?" Moon asked looking strictly in a direction.
"Oh, that's the guys team and the one in black is Eric, his the....."
"No, I meant the girls over there" she said pointing to a direction. "Cheerleaders or players.?" Moon asked.
"Oh! They're players as well, cheerleaders are in the second field" she said.
Soon, they called a break and the teams were heading together
"They're done already, let's go say hi" she said pulling moon. "Such a social butterfly "
"Kelly" a guy called from behind making her turn.
"Hey max, what's good huh? You guys done practicing?
"No, the girls aren't done yet" he stopped abruptly and took a long look at moon.
"Who's this?" He asked pointing at the less concerned lady.
"Oh, that's moon, she's new here, a transfer student, just coming in today and I'm taking her to the bursary to get her uniforms.
"Sweet!!" He exclaimed.
"Moon,this is max, one of our best players in the court and Max, this is moon."
"Don't mind her, she's just being hyperbolic, anyways, welcome to west hifh." He said stretching out his hand. "Thanks" moon replied taking the hand.
"Looks like you're a girl with few words, that's rare, anytime you need help feel free to call on us" he said and winked at her before leaving. "Great guy isn't he" Kelly said and they headed out.
Moon got the uniforms by the end of the day, after school, Kelly stopped her by the class entrance "I hope you had a nice day...anyways see you tomorrow..and oh, don't forget to leave the face cap out of the uniforms." She said before waving her goodbye and she walked into a red lambo with a chaffeuer waiting. She handed him her bag and entered and soon they zoomed off.
Looking around, it dawned on moonthst almost everyone "literally" everyone had a car to hop in to, putting back her earpiece back she left.
Reaching home around 8:32pm, she found her mum at the front door.
"moon..what happened?" She asked as she stood, they entered inside with moon leading the way, "nothing much, I had to go to reschedule, I'll be on afternoon duty" she answered removing her bag. Her mother, tried to persuade her but she knew it won't make sense, her father would soon start sending her allowance as a student. "This girl is just too stubborn" she thought
"How was school today?" She asked. "Fine...it was nice" moon answered heading for the refrigerator.
"Did you make any friends?" She asked noticing the uniform on the table.
"The uniforms nice, have you tried it on?". "No, I'm tired I'll do that tomorrow" moon said climbing up to her room.
Her mother sat down with a sad sight and looked towards moon's room door. "What's happened to my daughter." She asked herself, then she looked back at the white blouse,ash check shirts and other things.
