Su Nian's days at the academy had begun to settle into a rhythm—classes, sketches, late nights designing—but something new had entered her world, unexpected and unsettling.
During a critique session, a handsome young man approached her table with a charming smile.

That night, back at the mansion, Lu Cheng's jealousy took a playful yet possessive turn. As Su Nian sat sketching in the study, he appeared behind her, gently tugging the pencil from her hand.
"You should stop drawing for tonight," he said, his voice husky.
"Why?" she asked, arching an eyebrow.
"Because I want your attention," he muttered, pulling her close. His lips brushed against her neck, sending shivers down her spine.
Su Nian giggled. "Cheng, are you punishing me for being popular?"
He smirked, his fingers tracing lazy circles on her waist. "Maybe."
Their teasing quickly melted into a passionate kiss—fiery, tender, and full of the promise that he only wanted her.
The next day, Lu Cheng met Wei Tao briefly and gave him a cool, unreadable look that sent a clear message: Su Nian was his and not to be messed with.
Su Nian caught Lu Cheng's gaze afterward and smiled. "You're protective."
