Chapter 1 - Chapter 1— The Fall

The air was thick—filled with the sharp smell of burnt metal and fresh blood. It clung to the battlefield like a curse that refused to fade. Screams echoed through the shattered ruins—raw, desperate sounds that bounced off broken stone before fading into the endless void, like dying sparks carried by the wind.

Scar was on one knee, at the center of the battlefield.

His greatsword was buried deep in the cracked stone floor, giving Scar the power to not collapse, leaning on it. His chest rose and fell in heavy, uneven breaths. His hands trembled—not from fear, but from something far darker.

Rage.

Bodies covered the ground around him. Twisted. Broken. Some were burned beyond recognition, reduced to blackened remains. They were all that remained of his team—the last of them.

Friends. Allies. Strangers who had fought beside him long enough to become brothers and sisters in battle.

Gone.

"Damn it…" His voice cracked as it left his throat, hollow and empty."Am I the only one who's still alive?"

The battlefield gave no answer. The only answer he got was the cracking sound and the faliure alert.

Memories rushed into his mind—violent, unwanted, unstoppable.

.

.

.

Ten thousand people.

That was how many had been summoned from Earth.

Taken from their homes, schools, workplaces, and bedrooms. One moment they were living ordinary lives. The next, they stood on cold, pale-white stone in a world that followed none of the rules they knew—neither physics, nor time… nor mercy.

There had been no warning. No explanation.

Only the empty void above them—and glowing messages floating in the air, words made of light.

[You have been selected as representatives of Earth.]

[Defeat the Tutorial. Ascend the Tower.]

[Time Remaining: 999d:23h:59m:50s.]

It was as if an unseen system had written their fate in cold, uncaring code.

Before anyone could ask a single question, the ground shook.

And then—the monsters came.

They were not symbols. Not illusions. Not tests of the mind.

They were real.

Nightmarish beasts poured in from the edges of the land. Some crawled. Others flew. Some stood like living towers of muscle and bone, while others moved across the ground like living shadows. Their claws shone like knives. Their eyes glowed with hunger, shining like molten gold.

Some attacked without thinking, driven by instinct alone. Others hunted in silence—waiting in the dark, moving in groups. They copied voices. Cried like lost children. Whispered in familiar tones to lure the weak closer.

In the first Month, over half of them were dead, And the others... lost hope.

But what happened after that made them feel confident in exiting this hell again.

Two main paths appeared.

Mages and Warriors.

Mages manipulated mana—the energy that filled the air, their bodies, everything. They shaped it into powerful spells. Some became support mages, skilled in healing, shielding, and strengthening others. Their presence could change the course of battle, allowing allies to survive longer and fight harder.

Others became offensive mages—masters of destruction. Fire. Ice. Lightning. Wind. They released nature's fury in its purest form, capable of destroying entire groups with a single spell.

Warriors, on the other hand, exerted aura—a deep, burning energy drawn from within. It hardened their bodies, sharpened their reflexes, increased their strength, and strengthened their weapons. They stood on the front lines, taking blows, swinging blades, holding ground no one else could.

They started fighting back, pushing monsters away, gaining strength. And on top of that, the monsters they killed dropped energy cores and materials that helped them creating and enhancing their gears. They also found hidden chests that had Strong armors and weapons

The strongest of the Warriors was Scar.

His body had been shaped by pain, hard training, and endless battle. Muscles hardened by combat. Eyes sharpened by loss. The sword he carried was more than a weapon—it was a story. Heavy. Brutal. Perfectly matched to the weight he carried in his heart. He had a small black beard, black eyes, with a scar on the left one.

On Earth, he had been quiet. Invisible. Just another face in the crowd.

But in the tutorial…

Desperation changed him.

No matter how many battles he faced, no matter how broken his body became, he always stood back up. And because of that alone, many followed him, giving them hope to continue.

Again. And again.

[Time Remaining: 1d:1h:59m:50s.]

Time passed, and they arrived at the final day. During their time here, they fought monsters, built bases, gathered information, lead expeditions to find clues on how to end the tutorial.

After a year of fighting monsters, clearing places, they found out that there was a boss they needed to defeat to pass the tutorial, but the boss area was sealed with a barrier that prevented them from going in.

And the key to that area was for the clock to announce the final day.

Time passed. The final Day was 2 hours away.

Scar had fifty-three people left. They were waiting on front of that barrier, sorting everything, getting ready, waiting for it to open, hoping and praying to make it out alive.

[Defeat the Boss]

As soon as the timer entered the last day, the ground began to shake. The shaking was slight, then it gradually intensified, more and more, followed by loud screams.

"Get ready! Kill all the Monsters!" The final battle was here.

"What is that!" But something was wrong. Monsters unlike anything they had seen before descended upon them. Bigger. Smarter. More violent. The ground shook beneath their steps. Even the air seemed to scream.

They fought with everything they had—spears, blades, spells. They roared. Bled. Refused to retreat.

Then—the Boss appeared.

A Big creature of bone and black flame, covered in armor made from dead monsters. Its eyes burned like twin suns. Its presence alone crushed hope.

"The boss appeared! Hold on!"

Screams of pain echoed through the battlefield. They were already drowning under the relentless attacks of a thousand monsters—the arrival of the boss was a complete nightmare.

Then, a single figure broke from the shadows and charged straight into the chaos.

Darkness wrapped around her, making her pale blonde hair glow like light in a storm. Cold blue eyes burned with dark violet fire as magic moved over her armor and sword, humming with the quiet power of a star.

"Its Her! Its Selena! She is defiantly up to something! Prevent her, CAPTAIN!"

Selena,

She was beautiful—but cold. Deadly. Silent.

A Genius mage who mastered both long-range spells and close combat. Her magic was far stronger than anyone else's. Her sword skill was flawless.

She walked with a cold, terrifying calm—less like a person, and more like an impending disaster. A monster in battle, she switched instantly between destructive long-range magic and flawless swordplay, acting as both the storm and the blade. Her dark-blue mana wasn't normal magic; it was a heavy, crushing force that made the air itself hard to breathe.

While others banded together out of fear, she never allied with anyone. She was cruel, if someone stood between her and a critical objective, she cleared the obstacle without a second thought. To her, survival was a zero-sum game, and sympathy was just a quick way to die.

Scar was the only one who didn't instantly break under her pressure. A powerhouse in his own right, he was the sole fighter capable of matching her pace, forcing her to take him seriously in clash after clash. Yet, no matter how hard he pushed, she always kept the upper hand, taking what she wanted, and leaving him defeated. He once got an icy warning from her: He should be carful, and letting his guard down would be his last mistake.

More monsters appeared after the Boss, thousands more.

"LEAVE HER THE BOSS! ATTACK THE MONSTERS!! DO NOT BACK DOWN!!"

Scar was holding most of the monsters alone, so he couldn't do anything about her, so he decided to trust her and leave her the boss to take care of.

The battle was brutal. Bloody.

At first, Scar thought they would survive.

He was wrong.

Many hours passed, one by one, they fell—screaming, bleeding, begging. Scar fought until his voice broke. He screamed. He cried.

"SELENA! WHATS TAKING YOU SO LONG! HURRY U-! " Scar had to retrieve his focus on the monsters to check on what Selena was doing, because he didn't hear a single sound from her side for like 2 hours. Something was off.

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING!" The boss was not moving; it was laying on the ground and Selena was on top of it. It looked like it was dead, couldn't move, but it was still breathing, and its Energy was being sucked into a black crystal in Selena's hands. She was sucking the boss's energy in that crystal.

"DIE!" Scar hit the ground with his leg, put full force on his great sword and sent it like a rocket toward the boss to finish it, but selena stopped the sword and blocked it from the killing the boss.

"You!!!" Scar was raging! he wanted to go charge at the her by himself but he couldn't because he was pinned by the thousnds of monsters he was fighting. He could only look as his comrades fell after the other.

When the Boss finally was gone, Scar collapsed to one knee, leaning heavily on his sword. His black beard was red, recking blood. His black beard was stained with flowing blood, turning red. His left eye was closed; a deep gash ran from his forehead to his cheek. He hadn't lost his eye, but he couldn't open it now because of the wound. His entire body was covered in cuts, and blood was everywhere.

The only one alive...Barely alive.

[Congratulations. You have killed the Tutorial Boss.]

[Tutorial Completed.]

[Transporting in 4m:55s.]

Then the ground shook.

Scar raging gaze turned towards Selena.

The crystal in Selean's hand pulsed wildly. Unstable. Powerful enough to kill them all if it exploded.

Selena was trying to claim it.

[Error. Unstable Tutorial.]

Something was terribly wrong.

The ground shook beneath him. The walls cracked. The world itself began to collapse.

Selena looked at him.

Her eyes were calm. Cold. Distant.

She said nothing.

Her silence was louder than any scream.

The energy exploded outward, shockwaves tearing through the arena. Dark Power rushed into her like wildfire. She absorbed it all, her body glowing in a dark magic, growing stronger with every heartbeat. The crystal faded until it was empty.

She absorbed it. All of it.

Cracks spread everywhere. The world was breaking apart.

"I'LL KILL YOU!" Seeing his dead comrades, Scar roared, forcing himself forward, dragging his sword.

Three steps.

Then he collapsed.

Blood splashed across the stone. He had no energy left—not even enough to stand.

When he looked up again, Selena was surrounded by a dark mana.

The world fell apart around him.

It felt like the end of everything.

Selena looked at Scar one last time. She said nothing. She only stared at him back, then she disappeared.

"Somewhere, I'll find you Selena....and when i find you... I..will.. Kill you" He murmured, clinching his fist.

The last thing Scar saw was her fading form vanishing into the unknown.
