"Zzzz....zzzzz....."
Firion snores lightly as Kaida is snuggled against his chest. They are both in a deep sleep after spending nearly a couple of weeks on the run from their potential pursuers.
The beautiful community of Taraji has welcomed the pair with open arms after stories of their heroic acts reached the ears of the locals, and the man they helped saved repaid in heavy gratitude.
Last night, for their efforts of killing the rogue saurian, Acro, and saving his life; Emani decided to let Firion and Kaida use one of his family's many villas in gratitude.
"If you two had not been there...I am certain I would have been digesting in that beast's stomach, as part of my thanks, you may use my guest house. I spoke with the rest of my clan and they agreed, but it may be a while before grandmother decides to lend you an audience." Emani explained.
This palm hut was plain looking on the outside, but the inside was very beautiful with many tribal decorations that made it feel more luxurious. It also had a large, soft bed that was big enough for two people. There was even a mud kiln to keep the room warm since the nights were very cold.
The experience of sleeping in a actual home with a bed made them feel secure as they easily fell asleep despite skipping out on dinner.
Light slowly began to creep in from the small window, eventually it fell onto Firion's eyes as he began to slowly open them.
He carefully brought himself up, and did a slight stretch and yawn, but as a result Kaida slightly slid down onto his lap as her nose was right next to a familiar protrusion.
As she carefully began to wake up from the sudden movement her eyes opened to the bump in front of her, but then she had a mischievous streak and suddenly began to lightly tickle his penis.
"Kaida what you...ha..haha...HAHAHAHA! CUT IT OUT KAIDA! YOU KNOW I'M TICKLISH!!!" Firion pitifully begged as she suddenly sported a smile full of mischief.
She climbed over him as she began her tickle assault all over his body! He eventually got the upper hand and seized her while flipping their positions while he hovered atop of her.
He sneered at with a smug smile. "What are you going to do now?"
But he was met with immediate kiss on the mouth.
"Good morning my love." Kaida cooed somberly.
Firion proceeded to kiss her some more as his arms coiled around her. Soon his lips traveled from her mouth and down to her neck which caused her to moan in embarrassment.
Then his hand began to travel into her undergarments as her face turned a brighter shade of red! His fingers began to tease her vaginal lips as she began to cry from stimulation.
"Now its my turn!" He grinned.
But just as things grew more intense the door flung open!
"HEY YOU TWO! We know you skipped dinner so me and Jaheim brought some..." But Alima stopped and blushed as she realized she might be intruding on something.
Jaheim quickly shut the door in a humorous fashion. "If you need a few more moments just let me and Alima know when your done, we brought some food from the canteen!" He echoed through the door.
The next scene was brought by laughter and embarrassment in a lighthearted fashion as they gathered inside around the table.
"We were just very comfortable after sleeping outside for so long!" Kaida embarrassingly explained.
Alima chuckled a bit as she handed her a plate of food. "Wahaha! Its okay you two don't have to be embarrassed, that is what couples do! Me and Jaheim just were not expecting to walk in on something like that! We probably should have done a courtesy knock first!"
("You really should have.") Firion annoyingly thought as they did spoil their moment.
"We figured you two would be famished after skipping dinner, so we brought the leftovers from last night's dinner! We also made sure to bring different things, as I do remember that blue horns do not typically eat meat." Jaheim chimed in.
There were many tantalizing options spread across the table from mashed sweet potatoes, stir fried mixed greens, some dried meat strips, fresh fruit, cheese, and soft rolls.
Firion was surprised how thoughtful they were. "You didn't have to go out of your way to bring us this much food, but me and Kaida are still very grateful. We are famished after eating small meals while traveling."
They spent their breakfast explaining in greater detail the different events that led up to leaving Aldenburg and seeking an asylum in Eurelca. The two also learned they were not the first ones to cross Junai's boarder.
Jaheim explained. "This place has actually seen quite a few refugees seeking livelihood outside of Aldenburg, though there has been many rumors that the different castes over there were terrible. Unfortunately, due to us already being heavily populated, in addition to remaining neutral to the affairs of foreigners, we can never offer permanent housing. I am sure you two understand you may seek shelter here for a while, but you will eventually be asked to leave."
Firion already surmised that as a possibility. Junai has a peace agreement with Aldenburg, but there is still tensions between each other. He and Kaida discussed it last night that they would not be able to stay long in order to avoid giving the community any unnecessary burdens.
"BUT!!! While your here, since me and Jaheim have a little time off, we discussed it last night and we want to show you two around Taraji while your here! When we are done with breakfast we will head over to the bathhouses first and get washed up properly!" Alima suggested.
Jaheim added in. "We also brought some old clothes for you and Kaida to change into so you will blend in easier. Those giant cloaks you were wearing stand out too much. And do not worry about us doing all this! You saved our lives and Emani's yesterday. We want to show you our gratitude as well."
"Alima, are you and Jaheim feeling better? Or are you still sad about Acro?" Kaida innocently asked.
Firion looked a little concerned about asking some that sensitive, but the yumbo couple showed a bittersweet demeanor towards her question.
"We tell you later about our history with Acro." Alima replied. "You will understand why me and my husband were so bothered by his death, he was more than just a lizard to us."
Jaheim interrupted to change the subject. "Lets focus on other things for right now, Firion you come with me and we will go the men's bath lounge and Alima will take Kaida to the women's."
"One more thing, a messenger came by our home this morning and told us that Nkiri would agree to see you in two days while their family is busy treating Emani's injuries." Alima added in.
"Nkiri, that is the name of the oracle who you talked about. But why does Jaheim call her bibi then?" Kaida asked.
"Oh that is what many call her, as she is one of the oldest people in the village. It kinda means like...how you would say...madam? Or it can also mean grandma to some even when they are not related. She is over 700 years old, but despite her age she is still regarded as one of the most beautiful and wisest in the land." Alima elaborated.
But Jaheim added in some more. "But don't think that means she is frail because of her age. Even in her golden years, she is still one of the most powerful and frightening people in the land. She is a lioness that achieved great wisdom from walking in various corners of different lands."
"Nkiri." Firion mumbled her name. Even though he has yet to meet her, he somehow feels like she might already know they were coming if she does have the powerful ability of foresight.
Elsewhere, Emani is sitting on a bed with his leg heavily bandaged.
"How is the pain my grandson?" A voice echoes from across the room.
He opens his eyes and slowly gets up to a slight cracking noise and discomfort in his leg.
"Its not as bad as it was last night. May I get some of your coconut rum for the pain grandmother?" He kindly asked.
The shadow of a large woman sits by the window as she gazes outside.
She replies, "Help yourself, just leave me some for later. I am curious to hear more about these outsiders you told me about."
