The Tsugunai's executives and captains, having been beaten within a breath of their deaths, had a rather different reaction to the situation… Well, all but three had received a hellish treatment.
Finn stood up, stumbling as he did so, coughing so much he thought a lung was about to come up. Stabbing his spear into the ground, it shattered, so he gently placed his other spear onto the ground, then despite the cracks, its internal structure was just enough to hold up his weight. He currently only had one injury, one that not even Shurry's magic could heal, his pride…
"What led you three to be spared his fists?" Finn gasped, eventually coming to spit, clearing the imagined clog in his throat.
"What's it matter?" Riveria asked…
"He had a reason, though I doubt it was the one he mentioned. That was clearly an excuse." Hedin sighed, clicking his glasses, and turned to leave. "We should return to the Tsugunai, and figure out what to do with the dead while we ponder what just happened." He started walking away.
"Don't you run from me." Finn spit. "You'll answer. Why were you spared?"
"You really are stupid, aren't you?" Hogni said, cracking his neck and moving around erratically as he stood. "Obviously the wolf of origin had a reason he didn't want us to get knocked outside of the dome he created." He added as he took his leave.
"If that's the case, then the fairy force… They may have seen it?" Riveria muttered, and then also made her return.
Dain, and Gareth helped each other to stand, each having received several times the beating as others had, only falling short behind Bara, and Ottar.
"I need a drink…" Dain coughed, with a rough, raspy tone.
"Agreed, I've never been hit so hard. Even Ottar's out of control self has lighter blows." Gareth nervously chuckled as his brain and body both thought they were still struggling to suck in air.
Finn, still shaking with both; the memory of such pains, and the anger he felt… He slowly started walking back to the Tsugunai. "Get off your asses and get back to the Tsugunai. That means you too Ottar."
Ottar, who'd been sitting up against a tree thinking about what just happened to them, gave Finn a glance indicating his demand not to be patronized. "Care to say that again in a few minutes, Finn?"
"You're not all that, are you? Just as weak as the rest of us." Allen interjected, spitting as he picked himself off the ground. "Face it, we're nothing by comparison to him. Now get off your ass, or I'll have our lady to myself tonight." He clicked his tongue, and quickly chanted his spell, then ran back to the Tsugunai.
Noir, being an old man, was slower to rise than the others; he and the Gullivers rose at roughly the same rate. The brothers just started making their way back to their goddess. Noir looked to see Bara was completely out of it, unconscious and everything, though she had a large smile practically plastered upon her face.
"You must be having a hell of a dream after getting what you wanted." Noir sighed, and threw her over his shoulder. "The things I do for you… Let's get out of here."
"Hehe, I got him to break my pelvis." Bara muttered in her sleep as her body swayed with every step Noir took.
Seeing the rest leave, Ottar finally stood up, and slowly began walking. "I guess I still don't understand well enough. But Finn, he missed it completely. Any of the blows hitting me, would have killed him for sure." He spoke with a slight scoff. "In fact, I'm shocked I survived those blows. I feel… different somehow… Lady Freya will know what happened." He leapt forward, being the second one to arrive to the Tsugunai, falling just behind Allen.
"Welcome back, Ottar. You look…"
Hedin appeared on the deck at that moment. "Lady Freya, what happened?" He interrupted Lady Freya's words, demanding an answer. His eyes wandered to the fairy force, all of them had wide eyes.
"You went through a baptism of a sort." Freya answered, gently caressing her familia within her words.
"Why is it that we weren't delivered the same degree of a beating?"
"Why do you think so?" Artemis glared, showing her disdain for men.
"It must have something to do with us being elves…" Hedin seemingly had an idea, then turned towards the sky, narrowing his eyes as he chanted. "I knew it, he did something. There was no need to beat us senseless. Their trial was to handle the worldly beatings, ours was to tune ourselves to the spirits, strengthening our magic."
"So, that's why I feel different…" Ottar said, testing his strength with a simple test. "We just received the beating of a lifetime. He must not have liked our utter weakness."
"You idiots did cause him more than a small degree of trouble." Artemis said. "I suggest you and your ship get going. You've got a whole lot more to make up for now. My forgiveness is seldom earned, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't attempt to earn it." She then left to return to her familia.
"Goddess Loki." Noir said as he hopped onto the deck. "Bara's fine, just knocked out cold. She received a beating second only to Ottar's… Actually, it might have been worse."
"I know, I saw…" Loki said, pricking her finger after seeing the falna written upon her back. "Why is this visible? I hid it just a few moments ago." She muttered. "HUH? How the hell? There's no way that her abilities should have gone up that much from that!"
"What do you mean, Loki?" Freya asked, taking a peak. "There's no way… That's not possible."
"I know!" Loki all but screamed.
There was a moment where the two of them came to an understanding. However, to check it, they looked at the rest of the executive's statuses. And sure enough, it painted a very clear picture.
"That's the reason Kali wanted to keep him so desperately." Loki said.
"With him there, Telskyura would have quickly become the center of world power. And then probably would have over taken Orario and ruled in the guild's place."
"We lucked out… The world being like Telskyura, would be very bad."
