The tense silence that fell upon the Tsugunai's members was cold, heavy, and worse… a result not of lies made for the sake of oppression. Rather it was the result of the full truth of the situation. Everyone present knew it, Finn, along with many others in the upper ranks of the Freya and Loki familias were guilty of doing nothing about such actions at best, while others like Finn himself, were guilty of performing the very action.
"You don't understand, I only did those things to…"
"Shut up, you think I care what false reasons you spew from your criminal tongue? Shameless opportunist, you're only marginally better than Valletta was, and in many ways, you are objectively worse than she was. For your evil deeds are masqueraded around as if they were justice, deluding yourself in a false heroic image. Whereas Valletta never lied to herself or anyone else about what she really was." Shurry quickly interrupted, half snarling.
"HOW DARE YOU COMPARE ME TO HER!"
"Oh, and why should I not? The color of your soul isn't borderline evil, it is evil. And it's disgusting." Shurry replied, turning to find a good place to fight. "Hmm, there will be good."
"I'm not evil!" Finn bellowed in explosive anger, yet he remained put.
"Really? Then why is it that you carry the name of a deity written upon your very soul, yet worship a long since dead heroine as if she was a goddess? Even if everything else didn't happen, that alone is worthy of rebuke." Shurry glared… "But fine, I guess I can give you a chance, follow me if you have the guts. See if you can work that evil out of your soul."
Shurry bounded away with great speed, landing in a clearing quite a distance away from the village. Ottar didn't wait for anyone else, he leapt off the Tsugunai, and ran towards the clearing, being the first to appear.
"DAMN HIM!" Finn shouted, and left in a fit of rage, grabbing his spears in the process.
"Well, it looks like our fight hasn't yet finished." Noir chuckled.
"It never will, old man." Allen clicked his tongue and made his way to the location as well.
"So, will the three of you join us?"
"Of course, I've been dreaming about him breaking my pelvis every night for years now. Why wouldn't I want to go fight him?" Bara said with a lust-crazed look on her face before running over as well.
Slowly, yet surly, the rest of the executives of the Tsugunai familias left to face the challenge at hand. Zald stayed aboard the ship and watched what was about to happen from afar, though he was about to wish he hadn't…
"Zald, will they be alright? He won't kill them will he?"
Zald let out a sigh. "Goddess Freya, understand something, my nephew has a lot more he's angry with them about than most people have against Evilus… However, he has also made sure that they will still be around for Bell to avenge his father's cold, calculated murder."
"I see…"
"That said, you're one insidious goddess. To think you'd make it harder to justify killing that boar by making him sire a child… And one in the least bitchy of your familia's upper ranks. He might just slap you for that."
"I won't mind receiving a good pounding from such a cute young man." Freya teased knowing full well Shurry could hear her.
"You'd better not try anything Freya. I saw his memories…" Artemis added. "He's unlikely to ever forgive you after what happened. So much so, when you return to Tenkai, make sure you wear your armor whenever you go out."
"Anyway, what's the deal with her over there? She's acting like they're gonna die or something like that." Zald asked, clearly talking about the only one around acting crazy.
The crazy one was Loki, she was kicking and screaming to be let go. The thought of her familia suffering under Shurry's blows once more was too much.
"Zald stop them, please! The last time they had nightmares for years!"
"First, those nightmares were deserved." Zald replied… "Second, bold of you to assume I have the ability to stay my nephew's hand once he gets like this. Not even Ardee has that kind of influence."
"Then what?!"
"Bear with the consequences of the situation? Just like how we mortals have lived in fear of the three great monsters as a direct result of a god's own hubris, the source that caused them to spawn…" Zald answered with a resolute tone, ensuring that only the gods heard his words.
"So you know of it?"
"Indeed. Zeus' monogamy isn't the loosest thing about him, especially while drunk… He can spill quite a few secrets. In anycase, enjoy the show."
Over in the clearing Shurry awaited the criminals, the first to arrive was Ottar… his expression was solid, and serious. He didn't have anything that would be worthy enough to call weapons, but he was fine with that, instead, without speaking a word, he beastified with a roar-like shout. Then, he charged in like a wild boar.
He's so damn slow… Shurry thought as he dodged Ottar's charge, then promptly grabbed him by the tail, yanked, pulling Ottar up, over head, and slamming him down into the ground. If I really went all out here, I could kill him with a flick of the wrist. Probably for the best if I don't go all out then.
Ottar, bleeding from many new bruises and cuts on his body, managed to climb to his feet once again, and continue to fight. Though to Shurry who'd fought Erebus, this was nothing more than a child flailing about.
"Damn, I was hoping to teach you a lesson alone, just a little bit longer. Sadly, it seems the others have started arriving for their own punishments."
"DAMN YOU ORIGIN WOLF!" Finn shouted, as he arrived on the scene, throwing one of his spears.
Shurry reached out, pointing with his finger, stopping the spear in its tracks, his skin barely compressed under the pressure.
"It seems you are eager to receive punishment. Very well then…" Shurry chuckled, and though he was extremely relaxed, he let it show the thing that truly showed the difference, his heroic aura. The night scene turned bright with a giant dome shamed barrier forming over the clearing. "Come, and fight. Receive a portion of the punishment you have earned."
