In the Guild's exchange, Riveria, Bara, and Anakitty were waiting for the guild members to finish analyzing the magic crystals, and other drop items for quality. Soon they'd receive an appropriate amount of money, however, while they waited, Bara noticed that Riveria was still shaken.
"So, are you still worried about that nonsense?"
"Yeah… I don't know what to do now, all I had wanted was to see what the world had to offer… And so I went along with the plan. I think- I might regret what we did…"
It was also around this time, a certain woman, out and about with her son, and adopted daughter… She overheard those words. Once she did, she approached, and simply stared at the shitty elf. The boy pulled on his mother's arm.
"Mommy, who's this elf?"
"She's one of the bitches who ganged up on your father, and I, about 8 years ago now. If not for my little brother's timely arrival to block her spell, I wouldn't be here today. She's a criminal, and deserves to be brought to justice."
Meda looked at the young woman with cat ears, and cat tail.
"Momma Meteria, what about her? I don't remember her being a part of the murder plot?"
"No, she wasn't there, she's too young to have been there anyway. It's a crying shame that criminals have wrapped such promising young women around their fingers. It makes me wonder how many more have been corrupted."
Anakitty, at first she was confused, and then was annoyed. She had a question pop into her head, one similar to the friend she joined with.
"Riveria… Did you really kill that boy's father?"
Riveria clenched her staff, and bit her lip, but she didn't answer… She was cowering… So, Bara answered…
"Yep, it's true. We went to attack the Zeus and Hera familias, their remnants were just that boy's father, and this woman here. Everyone else was either easy enough to handle killing, or they were unable to move due to the injuries they sustained from the One Eyed Black Dragon."
Anakitty was left speechless, she couldn't decide what emotion to feel for the time being… Riveria saw that, and finally spoke up.
"I did play a part, but I regret it now…"
"Shut up you trashy excuse for an elf. You only regret it now because you're beginning to face the negative consequences."
"No that's not true-"
"Then what else is it? Do you regret missing your chance to kill me?"
"I-"
Anakitty stood up, and ran off, out of the guild, and down the street, crying as she ran. How could they do that?! I never would have joined this familia if I had known!? I need to tell Raul… I need to tell him just how badly the Loki familia betrayed us. They lied about everything! I don't want to fight for them anymore! She closed her eyes and shook her head, crying when she ran straight into what felt like a wall made of Adamantite… She fell back to her butt.
"Hey what's the big idea? You're not a cat-burglar are you?"
Anakitty looked up from her viewpoint to see a tall, built woman. She looked like a steady rock on which to entrust herself with… Anakitty just started crying…
"I'm sorry… I- I- I didn't mean to run into you."
"Something the matter?"
"Yes…"
"Why don't you come with me for a bit. I'm already watching out for a few girls in difficult situations, one more wouldn't hurt."
"Huh?"
"I'll make you a nice hot meal, and hear you out. Let those problems all out. Your chest might grow a bit if you get a load off too."
"Really? Uhm, thank mew…"
"Pfft, seems you've got the same speech impediment those other three have, is that something all cat women have or what?"
A few minutes later, Anakitty was sitting at a table with some other girls, all around the same age. She couldn't help but say everything on her chest, of course in between the bites of food, and tears, a mix of happy and sad ones…
"MEOW! You've had it rough Aki!" The brown haired cat girl said, snuggling up to Aki.
"That's not the worst I've heard, but it's horrible nonetheless." The brown haired human sighed.
"Damn those bastards. I told them not to do it, I told them flat out they had no idea what they were getting themselves into. Morons! I'm glad I took Anya out of there before it happened."
"Huh?"
"Oh, I'm Mia Grand, the former captain of Freya familia. The one cuddling up to you is Anya, the one across from you is Chloe, and then we have here Lunoire. And in the kitchen May is preparing for the dinner rush."
"I- I-"
"Aki, I have to ask you, what are you most angry about?"
"I was lied to… I wouldn't have joined their familia had I known."
"What are you most scared of now?"
"Being associated with those who murdered the hero's brother."
Anakitty tensed, and then curled up into a ball.
"Aki, you'll be fine." Chloe said with a friendly smile.
"Why do you say that?"
"Because, Origin Wolf doesn't hate you. He may be a bit scary, but he's fair. I'm sure he doesn't blame you at all."
"Chloe's right, otherwise, he'd be coming after me, and the girls too. Instead, he promised to intervene in the event Freya familia tries to take me back."
"I-"
"Remember, it's those who continue pushing forward that grow. So long as you manage that, you'll go far kid." Mia gave her, on brand, wink. "Now go on, and do what you need to do… You'll do fine. Fight hard in the war game, and he might just help you get out of that familia."
Anakitty started to relax, and tried to get up, but Anya refused to let her.
"Just a few more minutes Aki, you're still in need of some sisterly snuggling."
With the help of the others, Aki was finally freed from the snuggle and was about to set off.
"Thank you for everything."
"Don't worry about it. So what are you going to do now?"
"I'm going to see my friend, and tell him what the Loki familia did to us."
"Your boyfriend? Don't get pregnant before the wargame, alright? Loki might also try to lay claim on the baby, wait until you get out of that place before trying for a kitten." Chloe teased…
Anakitty blushed so hard, so fast, she didn't know what to say.
"Uhm, he's not my-"
"Go on, your boyfriend is waiting."
"Ehh!?"
Anakitty couldn't speak, the girls she just spoke with were giggling.
"Why else would you want to get a bigger chest, than if not for him? Children?"
And off she ran, in a far better mood, with far more to think about than before.
