Chapter 3 - Olive green eyes

Damian looked down at her hand, his brain automatically visualized the cream filled hands he had seen the previous night. He let out a light chuckle earning him a confused look from the two persons in the office.

He quickly composed himself and shook her hand "Nice to meet you Miss Norra. You can have a seat".

They all got seated on the office sofa. Damian couldn't get his eyes off her. Everything about her except her appearance had changed. She still had her sleek black hair tied in a bun but this time, her suit was dark brown with a light brown inner shirt which complimented her fair skin. Her green eyes shone more brightly in the lit room unlike the dim lightened ballroom. She had the same scent of lavender.

Despite having the same physical appearance, her aura was completely different. She didn't look flirty or excited instead she looked feisty and tough. It was like she didn't never displayed that type of dynamic personality.

Damian was utterly confused, it seemed like she didn't remember a thing from the previous night. Was she she too drunk? Or she had a twin? Damian ran out of thoughts. He didn't know what to conclude.

"This is my Secretary, Simon. He will be in charge of the project after today. I just relocated to New York, i will be extremely busy, as there are some things to be tended to in the New york branch."

Her voice, even her tone had changed. She was all professional. Nothing like the previous night. What the hell happened to her?

"I have outlined the products that will be showcased in the mall. If there is any that you feel indifferent about, we can talk about it. But i doubt there will be anyways".

That confidence, it just stuck there. Even in business, she was sassy and blunt. He liked that. But what if she wasn't the same person. He had to keep her by his side to find out.

He leaned back to the single sofa and said "I would like you to be in charge of the project Miss Norra".

Her expression didn't change, her face was straight like she hadn't heard anything or she had expected it.

"Mr Keno, i won't be able to do that. Like i said, i will be extremely busy.. ".

"I heard you. " He slowly leaned towards her and said "This is your first project with us. I would like you to take charge with utter precision".

She starred deep in his eyes for a few seconds. Damian could clearly remember her fluttering lashes from the previous night. They were clearly different.

She heaved a breath "Will Mr Keno be in charge of the project himself?"

Damian let out a tiny side smile "Of course, i always handle the new projects myself".

"Alright then, I will be waiting for your response regarding this. I guess you would be attending the food sampling yourself."

"Of course, i look forward to working with you" They both stood up, shook hands and the next thing, she was out of the office.

Damian slumped back to the sofa, he looked back at the seat she had sat few minutes ago. For a moment, it was like the past few minutes never really happened. Everything seemed so surreal. He could still feel the feeling of her warm palm on his palm. He breathed out, brushing his hands through his hair. She was too mysterious, so hard to read.

Louis walked in almost immediately "What were you thinking about that you didn't hear me knock on the door?"

"What is it Louis?"

"You have a meeting with the legal department now"

"Alright" Damian stood up, he walked to his table, he picked some files but stopped to talk to Louis. "Get me everything about Miss Norra. Every single thing"

"On it" Louis steadily left the office.

Damian drove back home, worn out after the long day. The bustling streets of New York had made it really difficult to get home. It was 9:00pm by the time Damian got to his estate. The fully lit estate was quiet and lonely like it always was.

The instant he arrived at his residence, someone jumped in front of his car. He slammed the brakes just in time to avoid any collision.

She was clothed in Pajamas, making it easy to know she was about to go to bed. Her long black hair hid her face, making her unrecognizable. She clung to his car, Damian could tell she was trying to say something. He stepped out of the car. She ran to him and hugged him not giving him a chance to see her face.

"Save me! He... He found me! I don't know but he he found me"

Damian swore her voice was familiar. Although she had stuttered through out but he could tell. He tried to pull away but she clung tightly to him. He noticed she was bare foot, she probably didn't know what she was doing. He proceeded to console her. He hugged her back, slowly patting her back. "He's gone, he is not here anymore"

He repeated that a few times before he noticed she had loosened her hold on him. He pulled away while still holding her in his arms. He patted her hair and instantly confirmed his suspicions.

It was her. That same Olive green eyes.
