UK:GSW Chapter 388 – Hidden Sky Village: We Are Already Invincible, We'll Definitely Blow Up the Hidden Leaf
In the main world, ever since Black Zetsu got hit with a Big Intestine Taste Buds Technique, he developed a psychological shadow toward Uchiha Kei and didn't dare to casually approach the Hidden Leaf, always trying to keep a safe distance from him.
Given Black Zetsu's personality, knowing full well that Uchiha Kei isn't someone to mess with, he would naturally choose to just hide and bide his time until Uchiha Kei was either finished or taken out by someone else before becoming arrogant again.
Normally, that would indeed be the case.
However, because of the illusion game, and because Uchiha Madara—this old geezer—was now hopelessly addicted to it, spending every day hanging around with "Muzi," even though he knew she had a fiancé who also played the game with them daily, Madara still hadn't stopped living in that illusion game life.
Such a Madara could only make Black Zetsu pull the "subway old man looking at his phone" face.
In Black Zetsu's eyes, if Madara kept going like this, he was finished. All that talk about the Eye of the Moon Plan—while claiming he wouldn't give it up—was meaningless. With how much time Madara spent gaming, it wouldn't be strange if "GG" flashed on the screen of his life any day now.
Although thanks to some miraculous cola and other foods recently, Madara's body was gradually improving, he was still nearly a hundred years old. If he suddenly keeled over one day, it wouldn't be surprising at all.
Black Zetsu had lived for over a thousand years, with a deep understanding of human lifespan and vitality, and knew humans were fragile creatures.
Well-off citizens living in comfort tended to live longer than the starving and freezing poor, but an overly pampered life could also bring on illnesses that the poor would never get, and those illnesses often killed suddenly.
Black Zetsu had seen such cases more than once—usually strokes, sudden deaths from overexertion—and upon his special examinations, he found many were caused by brain blood vessels bursting, flooding the brain with pressure, and ending in death.
One could say that this was a way of dying that most humans would never experience in their lifetime.
But Black Zetsu knew it, and Madara was living such a life right now.
Although powerful shinobi almost never died like that, never in history had a powerful shinobi fallen into "degeneracy" quite like Uchiha Madara.
No doubt, in Madara's own eyes, his life could be summed up as: "I've worked hard my whole life—so what if I enjoy myself now? Keep gaming, keep having fun!"
But such a Madara didn't fit Black Zetsu's plans!
So, in order to get Madara back on the "right path," Black Zetsu had racked his brains, scheming tirelessly from the shadows. All the trouble he stirred up was for the sake of steering Madara back to "normal."
You could say that in this regard, Black Zetsu was extremely persistent, with determination and ideas—willing to gamble everything for the sake of his temporary boss.
Of course, whether it would work or be recognized was another matter.
Anyway, Uchiha Kei just wanted to say that Black Zetsu's ability to stir trouble was nothing special, and the people he got this time left him at a loss for words.
After all, at first he thought that when Black Zetsu finally made a move, it would at least be some big village attacking the Hidden Leaf—or if he was being bold, multiple villages attacking at once, maybe even the Land of Fire's daimyo getting in on it.
Kei was actually looking forward to it. Given the Hidden Leaf's current strength in the main world, it was like the feeling of a certain past-life nation whose internal skill was perfected, its people filled with hawkish thinking, eager to find someone to beat up.
Of course, thinking like that wasn't right, and starting trouble wasn't good—but there was nothing wrong with a little harmless daydreaming.
And when the enemy took the first step, well, you couldn't blame the Hidden Leaf for launching a holy grand expedition in return.
So, just as Uchiha Kei was expecting Black Zetsu to bring something big, Black Zetsu… brought him a big pile of crap.
"The Hidden Cloud Village is full of vigor—it's only right they'd attack the Hidden Leaf."
"The Hidden Mist Village is overseas—they'd definitely be confident enough to attack the Hidden Leaf."
"The Hidden Stone Village likes to hire other forces to fight—it's normal for them to hire someone to attack the Hidden Leaf."
"Hmph, the daimyo of the Land of Fire has a big problem with the Hidden Leaf right now. Sure, they'd never act personally, but hiring someone to go after the Hidden Leaf would be normal."
"So, Black Zetsu… who exactly are you going to get to attack the Hidden Leaf?"
"…What the hell is the Hidden Sky Village?"
That was Uchiha Kei's mental journey—prompting him to ponder why Black Zetsu would do this and recall where the Hidden Sky Village even came from.
Then it hit him.
Oh, right—the villain faction from the Naruto movie Bonds.
As the memories came back, Kei remembered what the Hidden Sky Village was.
Villain Shinnō, the movie's heroine Amaru, the original special tailed beast Zero-Tails, the sky fortress with black-tech engineering, and the cannon fodder yet flying Sky-nin…
Damn, those were all good things!
Uchiha Kei's eyes lit up instantly—he was suddenly super excited.
But now, the Hidden Sky Village wasn't the same as in the movie. The movie took place over twenty years later. The current Hidden Sky Village had just gone through the Second Great Ninja War and been defeated by the Hidden Leaf, now hiding in an unknown location to lick its wounds. Even big villain Shinnō hadn't yet become the Hidden Sky Village's boss.
So how did this Hidden Sky Village have the guts to attack the Hidden Leaf? In the original, they had to use certain tricks before daring to go up against a fairly weakened Hidden Leaf. But now? The Hidden Leaf was at full strength, dominating the ninja world—there weren't many forces willing to fight them head-on. Yet the still-recovering Hidden Sky Village dared to attack? Were they stupid, or had Black Zetsu tricked them into going crazy?
Once Uchiha Kei looked deeper into it, he found out Black Zetsu had given them some of his treasured resources and provided the means to replenish and control the Zero-Tails.
Because of Black Zetsu, the Hidden Sky Village rose up ahead of schedule, now thinking themselves terrifyingly strong. Like the other villages, they believed the Hidden Leaf had strayed from the way of the shinobi, running full speed down the road of decadence and corruption.
The difference was, other villages were cautious—planning to wait two and a half years for the Hidden Leaf to fully rot before making a move. But the Hidden Sky Village was absurdly bold, thinking the Hidden Leaf was already done for, and so they immediately launched their attack.
Yes, that's exactly how they thought. Super spy White Zetsu gathered all the intel and reported it to Uchiha Kei.
Even Black Zetsu was caught off guard by how bold they were. Although he also wanted to immediately drag the Hidden Leaf into the abyss, he'd intended to consolidate forces first. Unlike those arrogant fools, Black Zetsu had some understanding of the Hidden Leaf's current strength.
So when the Hidden Sky Village, as if possessed by a bunch of WWII-era war planners, marched in with "guaranteed victory" confidence to blow up the Hidden Leaf, Black Zetsu felt as if he'd just eaten crap.
Yes—literally. After all, he'd already experienced the sensation of eating crap before, including the texture of an entire large intestine.
Faced with this aggressive Hidden Sky Village, Uchiha Kei thought for a moment, then created a WeChat group, added all the key members, dropped the intel into it—
Then sent one simple question:
"Who's up for a group trip to beat up the Hidden Sky Village?"
