I gasped loudly as my vision suddenly went dark, and when I opened my eyes again, I was back in the burning room.
The heat rushed against my skin, and the crackling of the flames replaced the screams and chaos from the vision. Rael was still holding me tightly, his back shielding me from the shards of glass and the fire.
But fortunately, there was no spear between us.
"Are you alright?" His voice pulled me out of my reverie.
I blinked several times, trying to ground myself and make sure I wasn't hallucinating. "I … I'm fine."
Rael said something else, but my mind drifted back to the vision I had just seen.
What the hell was that?
I didn't remember ever meeting another man who looked like Rael. Besides, that man had been wearing full iron armor, as if he were standing on a battlefield.
More than that, I didn't recall ever visiting a city that looked like the one in that vision.
So what kind of vision was that supposed to be?
