Chapter 30 - Chapter 29: Fly! Doflamingo – Part 1

Doflamingo temporarily evaded Vice Admiral Tsuru's entanglement and headed towards the turbulent ocean current.

"What's happening, Cricket? Is an ocean current about to appear?" Doflamingo seriously asked Cricket. After all, the current situation didn't allow Doflamingo to be careless, as there was a big problem behind him that was difficult to shake off.

"If my estimation is correct, it will arrive soon," Cricket said with a serious expression.

The sky, originally clear, suddenly darkened, and a large number of black cumulonimbus clouds continued to form. The face of the sky also suddenly changed, without caring about the lives of the people at sea.

"Young Master, the situation ahead has changed. A huge storm is about to arrive," the navigator reported, conscientiously performing his duty, and told Doflamingo what was about to happen.

"Keep going forward. Storms and such are trying to stop me. It's impossible, absolutely impossible."

The sky seemed to have grown even uglier because someone wasn't paying attention to it. The sea, which was previously calm, suddenly began to get agitated, and a strong pull dragged Doflamingo's pirate ship forward.

At that moment, the sound of artillery fire broke the brief peace. Boom! In the sea behind, Vice Admiral Tsuru's fleet fired projectiles at Doflamingo.

In an instant. Several black cannonballs soared into the sky, like dark meteors, and exploded in Doflamingo's direction. The pirate ship, which was originally stable, began to shake violently because of these projectiles.

"Doflamingo, you are a good boy, stop this, you cannot escape." Vice Admiral Tsuru kept speaking from behind, trying to dissuade Doflamingo.

"Trebol, you go and deal with the pursuit from behind." Doflamingo gave the task of stopping the rear attack to Trebol. He was too lazy to pay attention to her now, as all his mind was focused on the current abnormality.

The Donquixote Pirates temporarily escaped the blockade and continued advancing.

"Young Master, look, there's a huge whirlpool ahead. If we just go straight, we will surely be swallowed," the trembling subordinate reported.

Doflamingo had also seen this huge whirlpool a long time ago. To be honest, it was the first time he had seen such a large whirlpool. The center of the whirlpool was like a black hole, bottomless and very frightening. The terrifying pull continued to drag the pirate ship forward and would not stop until it devoured everything.

"Fufufufu, go forward anyway!" Doflamingo didn't hesitate at all. Hesitation would lead to defeat, so he quickly advanced. He looked at everyone and smiled.

The sea was full of waves, and the currents began to get turbulent. The turbulent waves rose and fell, reaching a height of tens of meters with enormous momentum. Everyone in the Donquixote Pirates could feel the boat swaying up and down beneath their feet. Everyone had different expressions: some were panicked, with their hands and feet trembling; some seemed calm, but held tightly to anything on the boat, afraid of falling off the sailing ship and dying at sea; and some were calm and composed, not caring about life or death.

Doflamingo didn't blame them. After all, the horror of nature was obvious, and not everyone had the courage to face fear. Seeing Cricket's serious and calm expression, Doflamingo nodded unconsciously. He was indeed a man who had the responsibility of washing away his ancestors' humiliation and had a strong will.

"Everyone, stand still. It's best to stay near the cabin or find something to hold onto. The waves will get even more violent soon." Doflamingo reminded everyone.

When everyone heard the captain's order, they immediately carried it out. After all, it was the first time they had seen such a large whirlpool. It was so powerful that they might not be able to escape this time. If you stayed on deck and didn't hold firmly to the hull, the waves could easily carry you away and bury you at the bottom of the sea.

The sound of the sails was rustling. "Lower the foremast and mainmast to full sail and hoist the triangular sail on the mizzenmast." "Pay attention to the order of lowering the sails: first the topsail, then the main sail..."

A storm was brewing, and Diamante ordered everyone to control the pirate ship. After hearing this, the others also acted quickly. "Hualala," heavy rain fell, and strong wind whistled in their ears.

Doflamingo stood in the heavy rain, facing the strong wind, standing at the bow of the ship. Doflamingo had extravagant short golden hair and sunglasses that blocked his eyes, so his expression couldn't be seen, but his handsome, angular face was full of calm and composure.

Doflamingo looked at the surging waves in front of him, not daring to relax for a moment. Vice Admiral Tsuru behind him continued to pursue him without any sign of letting up. The suffocating pressure left Doflamingo breathless.

Doflamingo knew very well that this was his last chance. If he missed this current, the consequences would be evident. What awaited him was a large bowl of prison food, although the large bowl of prison food was delicious.
