10 years,
It took me ten years to be qualified enough to train the 'kids of the future'.
They were in need of a homeroom teacher,
And I happened to be a good fit.because if my prior experience in teaching awakened kids.
'Although I knew that this school was famous for being more strict with kids, I didn't expect that kids were getting treated like animals!:
The second I had stepped in this damn school I could feel the raw fear and suppression. The teacher assigned to let me see how a normal day in Kalagero high was, how to say it...looked more like a war veteran than my own husband, especially so when he had a spear to a students neck.
He looked at me with a condescending look and introduced me retracting the spear from the scrawny little girl.
"Children this is Ms.Dellis, smile and wave."
A sea of children with times my vements waves sporting the fakest smiles I've seen in a while.
Before I could introduce myself the teacher started walking down the rows of kids stopping at a 15 year old boy. He pointed his spear and lifeyed the boys chin with it.
"Chin up, soldier."
The boy almost burst to tears.
Glossy eyes and quivering lips,
And reminders of firmness and caution.
This wasn't how I was going to teach, I would make sure of it.
My class was a group fresh out of middle school with still bright eyes.
My room was a bit empty, some posters and books that I had brought were the only things for now.
"Hello class, my name's Mrs.dellis and I'll be your teacher from now on!" I said with a cheery smile I held my spreadsheet closer with resolution.
'Kids don't learn through oppression, every teacher knows this. Fear and respect for your teacher are different, I'm not being too friendly though right?
No, no I'm not. I can be a strict fun teacher!'

In the middle of sketching out the human body the teacher from earlier had walked in rather rudely.
"Ms.Dellis." he tucked his hand in his pockets and looked around
"It's Mrs.Dellis." I almost would've crushed the chalk back to dust if I wasn't mainly clenching my other hand so hard.
"Yeah, yeah same thing. How's these ones grades?" He brought his hand out to yawn.
"I suppose you're here to inspect my classroom?" I placed the innocent piece of chalk back on my desk and spoke as sweetly as I could.
"Right on the dot." He glared at a kid who was doodling on paper. "Although I'm not expecting much since your new."
'shut up you fussy hussy!' I grinned and spoke with vigor "well I'll have you know that my class is currently number one in terms of math, while we do have a little problems with English-"
"That's not what I'm asking for, and what do THEY need to know math for?" He scoffed
'I was getting to that!'
