The curse of the Golden City of Triton, with its millions of inhabitants, is truly astonishing because, in essence, it should belong to the nation-destroying level of curses.
Its original effect is supposed to be—protecting Wu Liang's soul from external interference, and absorbing all souls he comes into contact with to strengthen the curse.
At first glance, it doesn't seem like there's any problem with this.
But if it really succeeds in attaching to Wu Liang, the result would be—humans with soul strength not exceeding the city-destroying level would die instantly upon seeing Wu Liang, with their souls absorbed by him.
By then, Wu Liang would probably become a walking supernatural calamity in the truest sense, and there would be few people in the world who could stay alive in his presence.
This also corroborated what Triton said before dissipating—Wu Liang's soul would be eternally lonely, and he would be rejected by his kind, becoming an eternal outcast.
