Chapter 23 - Chapter 21 Dialogue

A divine miracle manifests, and a new god is born.

The new Church on the ground begins to spread its doctrine and launches a counterattack.

The two major Churches start to divide the entire world, leading to an unprecedented blood war.

Even the common people begin to switch allegiance, finding the Emperor more trustworthy; after all, under guidance, His Majesty indeed has saved them time and again, while Outer Gods continue to annihilate them.

A large number of Atabians begin to awaken.

And high above.

This newly-born god, with a skeletal frame, shakily supports its body.

Like a patient paralyzed for decades suddenly able to walk off the bed, undergoing rehabilitation training.

Li Qing sits opposite the glass, looking at the skinny skeleton about the same size as himself, feeling as if a trashy skeleton soldier from a Western fantasy world had appeared in the real world.

Previously, it was Ning Guochang in confinement.

Now, it's a skeleton monster.

But how could Li Qing be afraid?

To put it simply: they have created a person, like the people walking on the streets, the old lady next door, someone like Susan.

Can it break tempered glass?

No, it cannot.

Human beings have their limits.

In the current situation, Li Qing indeed feels very afraid.

If outsiders saw this scene, they might think of him as a movie psychopathic homicidal maniac conducting imprisonment play, getting so scared they'd roll over and call the police, and he wouldn't be able to explain himself.

Other worries are currently absent.

"Should I call you the God of Suffering, Membis?" The voice of an Outer God comes from beyond the sky.

The people on the ground impersonate gods, and the Evil God outside the Crystal Wall World shows no joy or anger, as if detached from earthly matters, simply stating:

"Mortal, you truly are mad. This is beyond the capability of your current civilization's scale. You should know, having such a colossal body brings with it the worry of a lifespan."

This giant is destined to grow old and die.

The being in front of us is clearly malnourished, struggling to walk, inherently genetically disabled; they can't possibly create a complete human.

Human life is extremely delicate and fragile. The absence of even a small genetic fragment can lead to various disabilities, hemophilia, albinism, malformed physiques. The genetic segments missing in this human experiment are enormous? Perhaps it will soon collapse and die due to genetic defect diseases.

"Yes, I am already mad. Now I can feel I've implanted myself into this giant body and have only six days of life left."

Emperor Atabia Membis, sensing the vast Outer God beyond the Crystal Wall World, candidly states.

He sits on the neuron-controlled emperor's throne, his lower body already embedded within the giant, becoming one with it; when the giant dies, so will he.

This is the cost.

This differs from those fish; this is the tremendous cost to operate this mecha.

Sitting on the neuron wheelchair of the throne, his voice is calm: "If I can evolve this body, I can extend its life. As before, frenzied evolution; as long as I evolve quickly enough, I can outrun death! Perhaps dying on the way, but I have my dignity, refusing the fate arranged by the gods!"

The voice carries an anger that seems to resonate from his very bones, for no one likes being dictated.

"You are too radical."

The voice echoes from beyond the sky, vast and boundless, with neither joy nor sorrow.

"You should know that this is merely a choice!" he helplessly spreads his hands.

He resembles a contemplative philosopher, outwardly maintaining the gentle demeanor of a scholar, yet he always feels like a gentle yet insane killer, "Right now, it's just forced evolution amidst death, evolving with this body, compared to evolving amid previous civilizational extinctions, is there really any difference?"

Building this giant was indeed no easy task for him.

Normal technological capabilities fall far short; presently, they can only imitate.

They frantically simplify the "Giant God Gene Diagram," centering on the spine, forcing a human figure.

Currently, there are no eyes, ears, mouth, nose, internal organs, heart, blood vessels—these super precise organs.

Just a [skeleton] + [muscle] humanoid skeletal muscle mass, all appearance.

But this is already enough!

No technology can leap to perfection in one step.

When Nuwa created humans, she first formed rough clay humanoids, then sculpted the shape and facial features.

He does the same.

First molding human-sized bones with muscles, then slowly evolving the detailed meridians, eyes, ears, mouth, nose, billions of blood vessels, five viscera, and six bowels on this flesh mud puppet, opening visual and auditory nerves.

Li Qing speaks very little.

But the opposing Emperor continues to adapt to this massive body, while recounting.

"Right now, it's just the framework of a god."

His entire lower body is like the roots of a tree, embedded in the neuron throne, "Deity, the more I analyze the genetic text, the more I marvel at the strength of such life forms."

Emperor Atabia coldly says to the Chaos Evil God beyond the wall:

"Through our Atabians' continuous calculations, your gods, conservatively speaking, have a lifespan of three hundred years, immense strength, and continue to self-evolve, far from reaching the peak, possessing various mysterious super abilities!"

"From a human perspective, your capabilities in every facet are indeed astonishing enough to be called gods."

Li Qing frowns.

Is he talking about us humans?

But he quickly realizes the reason.

The genetic structure diagram they acquired is from the superhuman Ning Guochang, the Zombie Lord.

At least a three hundred year lifespan is not false; this individual indeed has been expelled from humanity, and what they built according to Ning Guochang's diagram isn't human at all—it's an "extraterrestrial creature"!

"Simultaneously, we discovered that the energy level of a god is too colossal! Containing astonishingly profound power!"

Emperor Atabia says, "Our energy is just enough to build this skeleton."

Even constructing such a large skeleton consumed the entirety of a nation's resources to reach this point.

And these resources mostly come from the shelves behind Ning Guochang's room.

Those packages of instant noodles, bags of instant noodles, sausages, hot dogs—all were consumed by these Atabians, ripping open the packaging.

Otherwise, in their impoverished world, they couldn't have constructed even this giant skeleton with the nation's entire might.

"But how can we stop here!"

Emperor Atabia's voice is gentle, as if confiding in a friend, expressing with great joy: "We wish to create our own god, how could we stop at skeletal framing! We want to create a complete True God!"

"Could it be?" Li Qing shows a hint of surprise.

"Yes! Precisely!! As an Outer God, you are too powerful, so you cannot easily descend into our world! You can only watch as we nurture a True God, which will demonstrate the greatest wisdom and courage of our Atabians!"

He suddenly laughs again:

"We steal the authority of gods, starting from stealing their food!"

He controls the massive exoskeleton like a newborn, turning shakily, moving towards the gigantic shelf behind him.

All these packaged instant noodles, sausages, were opened earlier, used to develop energy for civilization.

But the canned meat, canned fruit with their sealed packaging, were beyond the reach of the backward Atabians.

But now, the Atabian sages' eyes burn heatedly:

Previously, the Atabians exhausted every method and couldn't open these cans, water bottles; even they were astounded at the terrifying power and profound foundation of the gods, able to easily open the divine food!

But now.

They too possess divine power!

With this immensely powerful and exceedingly great divine force.

Emperor Atabia controls the body, approaching slowly, though calm, his heart holds excitement, as if sensing truth right before him, about to unveil a corner of the mysterious rules of the world of the gods.

What is the world of gods like?

What is the structure of their food?

What powers does it contain?

Can genetic sequences be deciphered from the food?

And could this allow a glimpse into the environment of the world of the gods outside?

He grabs a can of beef, slowly pulling.

Crack!

A bone fractures, a crack appears.

Splat!

Massive muscles tear, blood bursts out.

Forcibly simplifying gene creation, this human appears osteoporotic, with muscle wastage and severe hemophilia—it's a miracle he can even exist in this world.

Li Qing remains silent.

You were born with such grandeur.

All Atabian cities cheering for you.

Mortals on the ground sing your divine name.

Yet you go and open a can in front of me?

The canned food Ning Guochang left behind should not be expired, right?

However, despite such mockery, Li Qing somewhat understands this capricious Emperor; indeed, most geniuses are eccentric madmen, otherwise they wouldn't create something as insane as the Tower of Babel.
