Watching the relieved expressions of everyone, Roland sternly reminded, "Sofia is the final trump card for all of humanity; she cannot be deployed lightly. If she were to act every time a few enemies appeared, would there still be hope for us humans?"
These words carried a tone of detached arrogance, especially in the face of the hellish scene of war machines wreaking havoc nearby and innocent civilians dying tragically on the spot.
Fortunately, everyone present was accustomed to such high-sounding words and felt a strong sense of identification with Roland's statement.
Duke Reinhardt asked gravely, "If the final trump card can't be deployed easily and we can't stop these damn steel beasts, are we supposed to watch them leave after the slaughter?"
Roland looked at the war machines going on a killing frenzy and said slowly, "Don't worry, this is their last frenzy. They will pay dearly, I promise."
