Mason Nightshade let go of Aurelia, the darkness still lingering in his eyes. But he picked her up, straightened her clothes for her, and only after he helped her tidy up did he lower his head to fix his own.
Seeing the cat-like scratch marks on his chest, he raised an eyebrow and glanced at Aurelia.
Aurelia pressed her lips together in a soft smile, as if she hadn't been the mischief-maker. "Don't look at me like that. Didn't you deliberately leave marks on me too? I don't even know how I'm supposed to film tomorrow."
"Take tomorrow off. Film the day after," Mason replied in a calm voice.
Aurelia raised her brows in surprise, "You're worried someone will see?"
Mason looked at her intently, his gaze earnest. "I don't want you to be misunderstood."
So that's why he stopped?
"Sigh." Mason breathed out softly, drew her into his arms, held her close. "Don't want to get remarried to me?"
Mason didn't wait for her answer.
