Aurelia Shaw was half awake and half asleep, listening to someone speaking softly by her ear. The voice was pleasant, and she knew it was Mason Nightshade. Not wanting to open her eyes, she just shook her head.
Mason kissed her forehead gently, got up, and took out one of her nightgowns from the wardrobe, slipping it onto her. He pulled the blanket over her.
He stood up and walked into the bathroom.
Ten minutes later, he came out with a towel around his waist, his hair dripping with water and holding a towel to dry himself.
The phone rang.
He glanced at the caller ID, walked outside to the balcony to answer, and his clear and smooth voice sounded, "What's up?"
Grayson Quinn's voice reached him, "The arms dealers who kidnapped Aurelia last time, I've tracked some movements in the south part of town. Should I go and check it out first?"
"Keep an eye on them but don't alert them. Report to me if there's any news." Mason replied calmly.
