She knew Victoria Blake was deliberately teasing her.
Victoria sighed, feeling bored. Her younger brother was already cool and smart enough, yet he found a wife with a similar personality?
"Why is your last name Blake?" After a moment of silence between them, Aurelia suddenly asked.
"I changed it," Victoria said casually. "I travel between countries for work often, sometimes spending more time abroad than at home. Plus, I needed a pseudonym for art exhibitions, so I just changed my name altogether."
She hadn't told the whole truth, and Aurelia silently made that assessment in her mind, but she wasn't interested in others' private matters.
Mason Nightshade returned with a plate of sliced fruits. Victoria reached out to take some, but he dodged her hand and placed them in front of Aurelia, spearing a piece of fruit with a fork and offering it to her mouth.
