Chapter 116 - Chapter 116 ( Demons in Town?(9))

Ron followed Yardy and soon they reached the crash site. The wreckage of the plane still smoked, metal twisted like melted wax.

"Here," Yardy said, crouching beside the torn fuselage. "Red Wolf's plane. His pilot was human… but someone else was here too."

"Who?" Ron asked.

Yardy's ears twitched. "Locki."

Ron's eyes widened. For a moment, his thoughts stopped entirely.

"What is it, Ron?" Yardy asked, concerned.

"Bruce told me something once… he said he could see texts in his mind. He could manipulate them—and reality changed," Ron said slowly.

Yardy stared at him, shocked. "Does he have green eyes?"

"Yes? Why? What's wrong?" Ron asked.

"That isn't a normal man," Yardy whispered. "If I were you, I'd leave this worldview immediately. Your opponent is not someone you can mess with."

"Why? What is that ability?" Ron pressed.

"I don't know," Yardy said. "But Wulkranoth warned me—if you ever meet someone with green eyes, run. Wulkranoth said even he would run. Everyone with a sane mind would."

"But DA fought them," Ron said.

"DA is… different. He's on a level beyond all of you combined. He defeated one of them with a single broom," Yardy said bluntly.

Ron ignored the chill that ran down his spine. "Forget that for now. Tell me about Locki. The location we received—it was altered. Looks like they knew we'd come. Even the two heads knew our clothes."

"Exactly," Yardy nodded.

"Now I'll take my leave. My investigation here is complete."

"What? Oh—right. Your eyes can see through everything. But before you go… Locki. Where is he?"

Yardy raised a finger, pointing into the distance. "Locki is alive. He's in that direction."

"Alright. You can go," Ron said.

Yardy vanished like smoke in the wind.

Ron turned to leave—then froze. Restraints lay scattered on the ground. All lined up perfectly… in the exact direction Yardy had pointed.

He followed the trail, step by step, until he reached a graveyard.

And there, standing among the silent stones, was someone—something—he recognized.

Skelly.

"Skelly? What are doing here?" Ron said

"That's what I wanted to ask you." He said

"I am here to in persuade of Locki." Ron said

"I know."

"Then why ask?" Ron said

"Well, tell me what you're doing here?" Ron asked

"Wulkranoth told me to guard this place." Skelly says.

Ron stare at him and says, " Hey, do you remember that? Before me and Locki messing with timeline."

"Yes. I was killed by Wulkranoth or Thomas. But thanks to you, Axzeroth vanished in time. And I came back." Skelly says

"Didn't you wanted to say something." Ron said

"Yes. I wanted to tell you that Wulkranoth is evil. And I know you have heard about the curse between a Watcher and A black Sorcerer." Skelly says

"Yes. Some old man with a cane, who looked really strong, told me." Ron says

"Do you know who he was?" Skelly says

"No I don't know. Why?" Ron says

"He is one of the previous Watchers. The strongest Watcher to ever exist. That's the Old man. Because of the old man, beings from Forbidden Region of the Universe didn't dare to enter our time flow." Skelly says

"Damn. That old geezer. Was a Watcher." Ron says

"What I wanted to say was that you're strange power can lessen if not break the curse. Like that he'll defeat the Watcher." Skelly says

"Then, why are you working for him. He's evil." Ron says

"He created me." Skelly says

"That's another story but are you on our side." Ron says

"What is the purpose of your side?" Skelly says

"It's to create peace." Ron says

"Hahahaha. Fine. I am in." Skelly says.

"But, you have a traitor in between you." Skelly says

"Who?" Ron asks

"That's your job to find. I and I assure you it's not one but two or maybe three. And you won't guess who could it be." Skelly says

Ron stares at him.

"What a jerk." Ron says and enters the graveyard. Ron sent a text to Carter saying

"Hey Carter, I have something to tell you. We have three traitors between us."

Ron looked at Graveyard and looked here and there

Ron walked through the graveyard and saw a grave.

"Beloved Mother."

Ron thought, "Mother. I wonder how was my mother."

"You're mother was a strong and kind woman. She'd fight the world for her son's sake." A female voice came in Ron's mind.

"It's Dream's voice." Ron thought

"Dream, are you there." Ron said

No response.

Ron walked ahead and saw graves tenth of thousands of years old.

"From how long does this place existed." Ron thought.

Ron saw a grave which looked like it was digged up. Ron went to take a look. His guts told him Locki was there. But Ron found no one.

Ron exhaled, disappointed, and turned to leave the graveyard.

Behind him, at the very grave he had inspected, an orange mist seeped out of the soil… rising, swirling…

It gathered, thickened, and slowly took the form of a human.

The mist solidified into Locki.
