In Room 402 of Unit 5 in the Ping'an District, the living room wasn't very spacious, but it was clean, tidy, and warmly decorated.
Zhu Yan, dressed in shiny black stockings and a professional pencil skirt, stood with her hands on her hips, glaring angrily at Sun Zhe and Ye Qiao on the sofa. She had just come home and caught them red-handed.
"You two have some real nerve!" she snapped. "Doing it in the living room is one thing, but you didn't even close the door! Do you need everything to be so thrilling? What if a neighbor had seen you?"

At this, Sun Zhe and Ye Qiao both hung their heads, not daring to look at Zhu Yan, like two children caught misbehaving. But as Zhu Yan continued to scold them, Ye Qiao finally couldn't take it anymore.
She suddenly lifted her head and looked Zhu Yan right in the eye. "Mom, I'm not hiding it anymore," she said bravely. "I like him!"
