After Bai Yiran got pregnant, Leng Yichen wouldn't let her go to work. At first, she resisted, because when she was pregnant with Xiao Xi, she had still worked for a while. But her solitary resistance was no match for the whole family's opposition, even Cheng Gang and Xia Lian were on Leng Yichen's side, firmly insisting that Bai Yiran should stay home and take care of her pregnancy.
Leng Yichen also reduced his time at the company and his social engagements, spending nearly most of his time at home with Bai Yiran.
Bai Yiran knew very well that this was a scheme by Leng Yichen to keep her at home, but she was powerless. If she weren't pregnant, she could delay it. But now that she's pregnant, regardless of whether this is the child's father's scheme or not, she has to keep the child. After all, this is her treasure.
