Bai Yiran looked at the caller ID showing Wu Chengzu's name, frowned slightly, and thought to herself that Leng Yichen didn't like her keeping in touch with Wu Chengzu. She muted the call and set the phone aside.
But Wu Chengzu didn't seem inclined to give up, causing Bai Yiran's phone screen to stay lit.
Helpless, Bai Yiran had no choice but to answer the call.
"Mr. Wu, what's the matter?"
"Yiran, Jingjing is acting a bit strange. She's locked herself in the bathroom and hasn't come out for almost two hours now." Wu Chengzu's voice showed a trace of anxiety for the first time. "I've tried talking to her, but she won't respond to me. The kid seems to trust you, so I'm hoping you can help me out."
Bai Yiran sensed from Wu Chengzu's words that Wu Jingjing might be having some kind of issue again.
"Mr. Wu, can you see if Jingjing would take the call? I'll try asking her what's wrong."
