Bai Yiran hurriedly rushed back to her rental room and bumped into Uncle Zheng on his walk.
"Good morning, Uncle Zheng!" Bai Yiran greeted him while opening the door.
"Morning!" Old Zheng responded, his old eyes fixated on the clothes Bai Yiran was wearing.
Bai Yiran entered the room, and only then did Old Zheng purse his lips and go inside.
"What's with your expression?" Old Zheng's wife asked.
"That Bai Yiran, she didn't come back last night." Old Zheng sat on the sofa and took a sip of tea.
"If she didn't come back, she didn't. What's it got to do with you?"
"Sigh!" Old Zheng sighed, "I thought she was a good girl, turns out she's divorced, and now she's out all night."
Old Zheng's wife rolled her eyes at him, "The girl's already pitiful having gone through a divorce, stop looking at her with tinted glasses. So what if she's out all night? She's an adult, she can do what she wants, mind your own business!"
