Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: He Bought Her for One Hundred Million

Gu Jiayin ultimately underestimated Sheng Qianchi's power and capabilities. She couldn't imagine that on the Eagle Emperor's cruise ship, his people could sneak into someone else's room without a trace, searching thoroughly without even sparing a trash can.

That clothing should have been destroyed in time.

Sheng Qianchi finished reading the documents, slowly raised his eyes to look at Gu Jiayin again, and his lips gradually curved into a roguish smile.

Unexpectedly, the person who had found pleasure under him tonight turned out to be Gu Jiayin, who supposedly died seven years ago.

Gu Jiayin sat where the lights were dimming, trying hard to lower her presence, but Sheng Qianchi's sharp gaze still captured her, causing her heart to sink deeper, seemingly without end.

When a person is targeted by a cheetah, staying calm is impossible.

...

The chime of midnight suddenly rang out, and the auction officially began.

The host elegantly walked onto the auction stage, glanced around at the bidders, and his magnetic voice floated into the hall's upper space, "Ladies and gentlemen, tonight we are auctioning ten treasures. The first one is..."

Following the host's gesture, a waiter respectfully displayed a tray to the crowd, on which lay a ruby.

"Ladies and gentlemen, this gem is named 'Deep as the Sea.' Two thousand years ago, Emperor Cara set it into the crown of his most beloved queen, signifying that his love for her was as deep as the sea."

The host appropriately paused for a moment before continuing, "Most importantly, this gem has been passed down for two thousand years and remains dazzlingly flawless."

This gem certainly counted as a treasure; many competitors hurried to place their bids. Sheng Qianchi, however, remained indifferent because those bidding for this gem mostly wanted to please women, and he had no woman worth pleasing.

He had come here today simply for entertainment, yet at that moment, his gaze rested on Gu Jiayin, intensely scrutinizing.

Soon, the gavel sounded, and the gem landed in the hands of a wealthy young man arm-in-arm with a beauty.

The host suddenly smiled incredibly mischievously and spoke again, "The second treasure of tonight, I guarantee, is something that all gentlemen present with healthy functionality would desire."

These words carried a hint of ambiguity, successfully piquing everyone's curiosity.

Gu Jiayin quietly sat in the dim light, her hands brushing over the piano, interweaving beautiful melodies, but unexpectedly, at the moment the host finished speaking, several black-clad bodyguards of the Eagle Emperor strode out from backstage and pulled her up, dragging her onto the auction stage.

This turn of events clearly caught Gu Jiayin off guard. Her identity could not be exposed, and the Eagle Emperor evidently wasn't playing by the rules. She didn't know where things had gone wrong.

This was not the time for rash actions, and she could only observe quietly and wait.

Therefore, she intentionally showed a bit of surprise, looking somewhat helplessly at the host.

The host gazed deeply at Gu Jiayin before turning to the audience, "Ladies and gentlemen, here is our second treasure for auction."

All eyes turned to Gu Jiayin, and whistles erupted one after another; the amazement in their gazes swept over her body like flashes of light, men's expressions brazen with the most primitive human desires.

No one noticed Sheng Qianchi, sitting in the most esteemed position, his face ice-cold to the extreme, ready to kill at any moment.

Though he didn't love Gu Jiayin, or rather any woman, having just enjoyed an evening of pleasure with him and then being dragged onto the auction stage in front of so many filthy men gave him a sense of wounded dignity.

Mo Jun clearly hadn't expected this occurrence either and carefully glanced at Sheng Qianchi, raising an eyebrow. The scene was uncontrollable; tonight Young Master Chi might unleash a slaughter.

Murdering on the high seas leaves no trace.

Gu Jiayin was truly stunning, an icy beauty that left a heart-stopping impression at a single glance.

With bright eyes and white teeth, blush-colored soft lips, skin white as snow, a red over-the-knee evening dress elegantly outlining her slender and graceful figure. She stood there like a flame burning at the edge of the clouds, so dazzling that it inspired awe.

The host seized the momentum to continue hyping, "This is a supreme treasure found by our Eagle Emperor, don't miss the opportunity, gentlemen."

The men sitting in the bidding seats were all wealthy; women were their playthings. Who among them hadn't seen countless beauties?

Yet a woman like Gu Jiayin was unmatched; a cold, pure allure that most aroused a man's desire to ravage.

Thus, just as the starting bid was announced, someone raised a bid, with more following on, making the scene turn intense. They weren't worried about any surgical transformations or fakery because the Eagle Emperor had always enjoyed a good reputation.

Gu Jiayin stood onstage, proud as a white birch, her cold eyes watching those lewd men below, feeling an instant urge to smite them all dead, yet she restrained herself.

An absurd and utterly unforeseen situation like this clearly showed her that someone in the Suri Royal Family had betrayed her, and she already guessed who, with such clumsy tactics.

On this note, the intelligence was incorrect—the Blood Tears Jade was not on this ship; this auction was a set trap intended for her.

She wanted to see how far this game would go.

"Ten million."

"Fifteen million."

"Twenty million."

The voices of bidding continued below, the men growing more excited because the woman onstage was even more captivating than the top-tier stars they paid lavish sums to keep.

"One hundred million."

A cold, magnetic voice interrupted the chaotic bidding.

One hundred million, as if striking like lightning, left everyone turning their stunned gazes toward Sheng Qianchi.

To buy a woman for one hundred million, how audacious!

No one dared to outbid Sheng Qianchi, and this auction was immediately concluded.

Gu Jiayin also looked at Sheng Qianchi with slight surprise, unsure of his intentions—did he recognize her? But even if he did, there would be no reason to spend such a fortune to buy her.

Sheng Qianchi remained expressionless, gazing directly at Gu Jiayin, knowing himself that she was truly priceless in his heart. Offering a lower price would be a desecration of beauty.

...

"Bang!"

Amidst everyone's astonishment, a gunshot tore through the air, and the host onstage fell to the ground. More gunfire erupted, and the bodyguards onstage were also hit one after another.

A black shadow flashed like an arrow from the bidder seats, sweeping toward the auction stage, reaching Gu Jiayin's side in a blink of an eye.

The person was a young man wearing black casual clothes, a silver eagle-shaped mask, who grabbed Gu Jiayin's wrist, "Come with me, I'll get you out of here."

His voice was hoarse and rich, like a vintage wine.

This person, Gu Jiayin could be confident she had never met, yet inexplicably felt a false sense of comfort.

In fact, she wasn't someone who easily trusted others. Even her own father had once fed her to crocodiles—who else in the world could she trust?

But in this instance, she inexplicably trusted this man, following his strength, jumping off the auction stage with him.

Bam, bam, bam!

The Eagle Emperor's bodyguards charged in from backstage, opening fire on the masked man.
