"You know how Betty is, who else can persuade her but you?" Autumn Stetford said with a mix of pity and complaint, "She's been down these past two days, went to the hot springs and then ate ice cream with just a thin jacket on, and after that, she caught a chill outside. She started running a fever when we got back to our room at night."
"The fever hasn't gone down by this morning. I called a doctor here to check on her, and it's not serious, but she refuses to take any medicine."
Ruby Sheldon lay on the bed, glaring at her mom unhappily, mumbling, "Mom, I'm sick, and you're still lecturing me. Do you have any sympathy?"
"Alright, alright, I'll let your dad talk to you." Autumn Stetford put the phone in front of Ruby Sheldon.
Aiden Sheldon's handsome and mature face gave Ruby a strong sense of security.
She immediately smiled, a bit shyly, "Dad, I miss you. Where have you been lately? I haven't seen you at all."
