Returning to the narrow bungalow, Bao Nan gently placed Jiang Tong on the bed.
Seeing her sleep like a log, he chuckled helplessly.
He then crouched down under the bed and took out a medical kit.
Bao Nan opened the medicine for sprains and bruises from the box, applied it to his hand, and started massaging Jiang Tong's ankle.
The sudden pain in her ankle made Jiang Tong frown and wake up with a start.
"Did I hurt you?"
As soon as she became conscious, she heard Bao Nan's clear and deep voice.
Jiang Tong, still drowsy, blinked her almond-shaped eyes.
Worried about causing her pain, Bao Nan instinctively gentled his movements.
"Are you feeling better now?"
He had already massaged her ankle for almost half an hour, and the redness and swelling had mostly subsided.
Jiang Tong continued to prop her head up, staring at him dumbfoundedly.
"Jiang Tong?" Bao Nan called her again, unsure of her response.
