"Did Emerie Wilson really send our child away like that? What was she trying to do?" Mason Wilson's gaze was as sharp as a sword, piercing into Emerie, who shrank back in fear, hiding in Benjamin Walton's arms.
"I even gave money to her adoptive father," Emerie defended herself with grievance.
Mason let out a sudden snort: "You're truly too generous, aren't you?"
The heavy sarcasm made Emerie pout in discontent, but she dared not retort, for she felt her brother was quite frightening at that moment.
"Call the police? We can't call the police!" Old Mrs. Wilson would never stand by and watch something happen to her precious daughter.
"Mason, do you really have to make things so embarrassing?" Old Mr. Wilson questioned in displeasure.
Mason found everything before him so ridiculous: "Dad, am I the one causing this? Shouldn't I demand an explanation for my wife and daughter?"
