He wasn't qualified. A man like him even despised himself, so what right did he have to covet her?
He wasn't worthy. He mustn't!
"Little Ben!"
Yan Yu knew he was about to get up, so she reached out and wrapped her arms tightly around his waist.
She boldly pressed her whole body tightly against his, tears sliding from the corners of her eyes. "...Even if you think I'm ugly, I still want to be with you."
He was stunned; his heartbeat had long since lost its rhythm, and his mind was in complete chaos.
Yan Yu buried her cheek tightly against his chest, choking softly. "...At least for tonight, don't even think about pushing me away. No matter what you do or don't want to do with me, tonight you have to hold me like this and sleep. Unless I die, I absolutely won't let you go tonight. If you're really set on pushing me away, you might as well just shoot me dead right now!"
His heart surged violently, and she, pressed against him, rose and fell with its every swell.
