"Missed a step when going downstairs, just finished a check-up. It's a soft tissue bruise, no bone damage."
Hearing that there was no bone damage, Joanna Ramsey finally breathed a sigh of relief.
"Then, I'll go see my dad." Joanna said quickly and was about to enter the room.
Watching the girl nearly fleeing, Richard Shaw's eyes were calm and cool.
"Where did you go last night?"
The man's sudden question stopped Joanna in her tracks, filling her with an inexplicable fear.
"At home."
Upon hearing this, Richard's eyes turned a few degrees colder. He stepped forward and closed the door she had just opened.
Hearing the click of the door closing, Joanna's heart skipped a beat, feeling the cold aura beside her. She lowered her head and took a step back.
This habitual action made Richard pause slightly while holding the doorknob, then he let go.
"You didn't come home last night, where did you go?"
