As soon as the words came out, Fiona Grantham's harsh voice suddenly stopped.
Both ends of the phone line fell into silence in an instant.
"Speak." The man's voice was steady, yet incredibly cold.
Fiona held the phone, her expression somewhat unnatural. After a moment, she glanced up to gesture for Nancy Lowe to leave first.
Then, Fiona continued speaking.
"You don't need to worry about this; it's not what you think."
"The investor in Matthew Timberlake's new movie is Gregory. He's in the underworld, and not a single actress he promotes hasn't climbed into his bed."
"Shut up!" Fiona screamed to stop him, her eyes bloodshot.
"Leo Foster, I have my own ways to get this role. Fiona Grantham doesn't need such vile tricks to climb up. Do you understand?"
The man was silent for a long while before he continued, "As your agent, I have the right to know how you got this role."
Fiona was silent for a moment before she replied, "I just had dinner with him."
