Chapter 14 - Chapter 14: You Gave It for Me

The park is called Lake Heart Park. This side of Lake Heart Park is Shen Manor's private territory, while the other side is the park itself. Around Lake Heart Park, there are some of the most upscale real estate projects in Qing City.

This area of Lake Heart Park is a renowned wealthy district in Qing City, famous both nationally and internationally. To what extent, you ask?

Even when Rong Qingqing was a homebody, she knew how outrageously expensive the real estate prices were here.

Due to the area's unique features, this park, except for weekends when people purposely bring their kids here to play, doesn't see many visitors during weekdays.

At this time after dinner, only some old people or nannies with kids from their households are likely to come out for a walk.

A few here and there, sometimes you might not even see anyone.

Guo Lan was talking to Shen Qiao about Shen Qiao's studies. Shen Qiao listened obediently with his head down. How much he was absorbing was another question.

Lake Heart Park wasn't as lively as Rong Qingqing imagined a park would be.

All the way while pushing Shen Jue, they didn't see any candy sellers or cotton candy vendors. Naturally, there were no stalls selling toys the children might like either.

The entire park was exceptionally quiet.

Rong Qingqing couldn't help but sigh. Where should Shen Jue spend this one yuan?

Rong Qingqing's sigh reached Shen Jue's ears. Shen Jue slightly raised an eyebrow but didn't turn back to look at Rong Qingqing.

He just snorted inwardly.

Wasn't she the one who suggested going for a walk?

And she's the first to sigh?

Obviously, it's just a Lake Heart Park. What's so nice about it?

Rong Qingqing didn't have mind-reading abilities, so she naturally didn't know what Shen Juexin was thinking.

Rong Qingqing looked around, and after noticing someone in a corner, she quickly communicated with the System.

"You said Shen Jue should spend one yuan for me, so is it okay to spend the one yuan anywhere?" Rong Qingqing asked.

"There's no weird rule about spending this one yuan, right?"

"No weird rules. The requirement is that Shen Jue must personally spend the money for you. No one else can substitute."

"And one more important requirement, the amount must be exactly one yuan. A penny more or less means the task fails."

Rong Qingqing: "???"

This is what you call no weird rules?

Rong Qingqing snorted at the System and refused to communicate further.

Under a tree ahead, a beggar was half-lying down. In front of the beggar was an empty bowl, and the beggar himself was holding a book and reading.

Rong Qingqing smiled slightly, and without saying anything, pushed Shen Jue eagerly towards the beggar.

"Hey! Rong Qingqing!" Shen Qiao saw and called out, pulling his mother along to follow.

When they reached in front of the beggar, Shen Jue took a closer look. The book in the beggar's hands was actually titled "The Economy of Stalls."

"Huh?" Shen Qiao laughed, "Mom, look, even beggars are so studious now!"

Shen Qiao's laugh was not well-taken, as Mrs. Shen felt a headache coming on.

"How dare you laugh? You're not even as good as a beggar." Mrs. Shen pointed at Shen Qiao's head a few times in frustration.

The beggar half-lying on the ground heard this, brushed aside the hair blocking his view, and looked at the people in front of him with a glance.

He showed no intention of engaging, lowered his head, and continued reading.

Only then did Shen Jue turn back to look at Rong Qingqing and ask, "Do you know him?"

"Why would you ask that?" Rong Qingqing was puzzled, but that was not her main concern now.

She walked over to Shen Jue, pointed at the beggar's empty bowl.

"I want to give him one yuan, but I don't want to do it myself. You do it for me."
