Kakashi Hatake stood in a secluded training area that he had found in one of the nearby forests. There was a clearing with very few trees that he used as an area where he could train.
He was going to test his new Mangekyo Sharingan abilities. He wanted to know the drawbacks and everything else about his abilities to not be surprised in a middle of a battle.
Kakashi wove hand signs, chakra surging, and summoned half a dozen earth clones,
Each clone moved in unison, slamming their hands to the ground.
'Earth Style: Mud Wall.'
Layered walls of earth erupted, thick and reinforced, stacked one behind another like a fortress.
Kakashi's left Mangekyo Sharingan spun as he blinked, unleashing Raijin no Taiko.
A thunderclap shockwave roared from his eye, the air detonating with force. The first wall shattered, chunks of earth exploding outward, dust clouding the air. The shockwave ripped through the second, third, and fourth walls, each crumbling into rubble with a deafening crack.
Lightning crackled along the shockwave, sizzling as it tore through, striking one of the earth clones behind all the walls. Its body disintegrated into dirt, collapsing in a heap.
Kakashi's thought, 'Its powerful, but it travels in a linear path.'
The remaining clones retaliated.They wove signs, 'Earth Style: Boulder Barrage', conjuring massive boulders from the ground, hurling them at Kakashi.
He blinked, as Raijin no Taiko erupted once more. The shockwave slammed into the boulders, shattering most into fragments, dust and lightning filling the air. The force continued, splintering nearby trees, their trunks cracking.
But not all boulders were destroyed; two veered off his direct line of sight, forcing him to sidestep swiftly. The boulders crashed into the ground, leaving craters.
Kakashi's mind analyzed the results. "So the shockwave travels in a linear straight path. It doesn't curve or anything. I also can't stop the shock from traveling further than my target. So I have to be careful that I don't have friendlies or infrastructure in front of me."
His mind processed further. "All the boulders were in my range of sight. But it seems the shockwave hits only in my direct line of sight and not those at the edges. Good enough training for now for this ability. Time to test the other ability."
He shifted focus to his right Mangekyo, its ability: 'Ikazuchi no Mai', which translated into the Dance of Thunder.
He wove quick hand signs, chakra surging. 'Chidori Stream.'
A torrent of lightning erupted around him, crackling wildly, blue arcs dancing across the ground.
His right Mangekyo glowed, and he exerted control over the lightning through his eye.
The lightning from chidori stream converged, shifting from an omnidirectional storm to a concentrated wave, surging forward like a tidal wave of electricity.
It slammed into the training area ahead, obliterating a swath of earth, grass burning, rocks melting into slag.
He wove another sign. 'Chidori Senbon.' Dozens of lightning needles formed, crackling with energy, and launched toward the remaining clones. His Mangekyo spun, guiding the senbon with pinpoint accuracy. The needles split, arcing in different directions, each striking a clone with lethal accuracy.
One clone's chest was pierced, crumbling to dirt; another's head was skewered, collapsing instantly. The final clone dodged, only for a senbon to curve mid-air, guided by Kakashi's eye, and strike its back, reducing it to rubble.
'A useful ability with no limitations like the other. It also reduced my chakra consumption of using the lightning jutsus by at least 40 percent. But there is the chakra usage of using the Mangekyoū.'
The ability basically allowed Kakashi to control lightning generated by his lightning jutsus.
Kakashi's chakra reserves felt lighter than expected. 'But it's still efficient. I can chain lightning jutsus longer now. And I think this ability has a lot more potential. I would have to figure some jutsus that would make good use of this ability. Controlling lightning but it would just be the thing that I need to complete 'that' jutsu.'
Kakashi mumbled, "I guess it's enough training for now."
He moved to a nearby laptop, accessing SHIELD's database as a Level 7 agent, his thoughts shifting to intel.
'Time to catch up with everything.' The screen loaded reports, his eyes scanning quickly.
Tony Stark's name caught his attention. 'Attacked at a racing event. Stark Expo incident. He discovered a new metal to cure his poisoning.' Kakashi's mind honed in on a detail: power cores used for Stark's suits.
His thoughts moved towards his own first puppet. 'A power core for a puppet, hmm. That should do it. I can store chakra in its body without actively supplying it. But I'll need backup chakra too. This should work, saving chakra. With this, my puppet will be ready soon.'
'Stark is really a genius to discover a new metal. With this my remote puppet would be ready soon. I could control it from far away without actually being there.' Kakashi thought, a rare excitement was on his face underneath his mask.
