Kakashi's phone buzzed in his pocket as he dispatched the last of a group of Hand operatives in Hell's Kitchen, their bodies crumpling under his kunai.
He glanced at the screen—Coulson. "Yo, what's up?" he answered,
Coulson's tone was urgent, cutting through the line. "We have a situation in New Mexico. I need you in Puente Antiguo now."
Kakashi didn't hesitate. "On my way."
He activated Kamui, the world twisting into a void, and reappeared in the New Mexico desert. A quick Body Flicker carried him to the town's edge.
'Let's see what's got Coulson spooked.'
There were destroyed vehicles smoldered with their metal frames twisted. Dead agents lay scattered, their faces frozen in shock. Kakashi's eye narrowed as he studied the scene.
He spotted Coulson directing surviving agents, his suit dusty but his demeanor steady.
"What's the situation, Coulson?" Kakashi asked, his voice low.
Coulson's face was grim. "Thor's got alien friends—and an alien robot enemy. That tin can's heading for him in town. Orders are to take it out."
Kakashi gave him a look, his eye crinkling. "Alien robot, huh? Sounds fun."
'Better than Hand goons, at least.'
"Understood." He Body Flickered toward the smoke and fire rising from the town center, his thoughts sharp.
In the heart of Puente Antiguo, three men and a woman, all wielding weapons—mace, sword, battle axe, and another sword—fought a towering metallic figure.
'Thor's friends, no doubt,' Kakashi thought, noting their odd, almost medieval armor. 'Stronger than humans, but not enough for this thing.'
The robot, a sleek, faceless construct of gleaming metal, its blows sending the warriors staggering.
As the robot raised a fist to crush the woman, Kakashi appeared in a flicker, his own fist meeting the metal with a clang. "Earth Style: Iron Spear Jutsu!"
His arm turned dark grey, chakra hardening it to steel-like density. The robot's punch faltered, and Kakashi followed with a chakra-enhanced kick to its chest, sliding it back across the pavement. 'Tough bastard.'
The woman, her sword still raised, stared at him, her voice a mix of shock and awe. "A Midgardian? This strong?"
Kakashi's eye crinkled, his tone dry. "Yo, just passing through."
'Midgardian? So they're Asgardians. Figures.'
The robot's head glowed orange, its faceplate opening to reveal a fiery core. Kakashi Body Flickered closer, dodging the energy blast that scorched the sky.
A chirping sound filled the air as lightning crackled around his fist. "Lightning Blade!"
He drove his Chidori through the robot's chest, the metal parting like butter. Sparks flew, but the Destroyer didn't falter. It grabbed his arm, trapping his hand inside its body, and swung its other fist. "Look out!" the woman shouted, but it was unnecessary.
Kakashi phased through the punch with Kamui, pulling his hand free and leaping back.
'This thing's not going down easy,
It's like fighting a puppet with no strings.'
He prepared another jutsu, but Thor's voice cut through the chaos. "Wait, Midgardian! This thing has caused enough destruction. Let it take my life, and we'll be done with it."
Kakashi's eye narrowed, his thoughts skeptical. Thor stepped forward, his voice steady despite his battered state. "Loki, brother, take my life and spare the others. It's what you wanted, isn't it?"
The Destroyer paused, its head tilting as if considering, then backhanded Thor with a sickening crunch.
Thor flew, slamming into the pavement, blood pooling beneath him. A woman—human, not Asgardian—screamed his name and ran to his side. Kakashi muttered, "Well, that was anticlimactic."
He tapped his comms, his voice calm. "Coulson, the robot's walking away. Thor's down, maybe dead. Orders?"
Coulson's voice crackled through. "Can you take it out?"
Kakashi's eye crinkled. "Yeah, no problem."
"Then do it," Coulson said. "Show the universe Earth's not a punching bag."
Kakashi nodded, his left eye glowing faintly as he prepared Kamui's offensive mode.
'Let's see if it keeps going with his head cut out.' He focused on the Destroyer's retreating form,—but stopped short of activating Kamui as thunder rumbled overhead.
Mjölnir shot through the sky, lightning crackling around it, and slammed into Thor's outstretched hand. The Asgardian rose, his wounds healing, his eyes blazing with power.
"Oh, things just got interesting," Kakashi mumbled, his eye crinkling. 'So the hammer chose him after all. Guess he's worthy now.'

Back at the SHIELD facility, Pakkun's ears drooped, his thoughts glum. 'My chew toy's gone. Just when I was getting attached.'

Thor stood, lightning arcing around him, his voice booming. "Loki! Your schemes end here!" He swung Mjölnir, the hammer's impact sending the Destroyer staggering. Kakashi leaned against a wrecked car, his tone dry. "Huh, nice comeback. Need a hand?"
Thor glanced at him, his grin fierce. "Midgardian, your strength is great, but this is my brother's doing. I must face it."
Kakashi shrugged, his thoughts amused. 'Sibling drama, huh? Sounds like Sasuke and Itachi.'
"Suit yourself. I'll watch."
Sif and the other Asgardians rallied, their weapons raised. "Thor, you're restored!" Sif called, her voice relieved. "End this abomination!"
The Destroyer fired another energy blast, but Thor spun Mjölnir, deflecting it into the sky. He charged, hammering the robot with blows that shook the ground.
Kakashi's Sharingan tracked every move, his thoughts analytical. 'He's got his power back—chakra's flowing again in his body. Whatever Odin did, Thor passed the test.'
The woman who'd screamed for Thor—Jane, Kakashi overheard—watched in awe. "He's… a god," she muttered.
Kakashi's eye crinkled. 'A god huh? Kaguya would have floored him easily. He is not even using his true power and only relying on his hammer and asgardian body.'
Thor's final blow sent the Destroyer crashing into a building. He landed, Mjölnir in hand, his voice triumphant. "Loki, your puppet is broken! Face me yourself!"
