Chapter 63 - What Nuclear Bomb?

"Battle Beast..."

Omni-Man recognized the crazy White Battle Beast from the daytime, a fearsome warrior well-known throughout the Universe, who delights in killing and fighting.

The strength Russell, his nephew, displayed in his fight with the Battle Beast, even made him take notice.

Especially the power of the lasers emitted from his eyes, which could even slightly injure the Battle Beast.

Although the Battle Beast's invincible lion claws were still more powerful than his defense.

But the Battle Beast was still one of the top powerhouses in the Universe!

"However..."

It seems Russell, his nephew, has no feelings for those unknown civilians; he shouldn't stop him from conquering the World?

If he stops him...

Omni-Man's brows furrowed.

"He can't delay any longer."

From the very beginning when Russell awakened his power, compared to Mark, a descendant of Viltrum, he only had a slight advantage in speed, but step by step, his strength has now completely surpassed Mark.

Even if his power and speed still couldn't catch up to his own, his pair of dangerous laser eyes already made him feel threatened.

If Russell, his nephew's, ability continues to improve, then...

"He must act now!" Omni-Man took a deep breath in his heart, a ruthless glint flashing in his eyes.

...

"Traveling to the X-Men World."

Locking the bedroom door, Russell changed into his battle suit, took a deep breath, and prepared to visit the X-Men Universe, which had only recently been connected.

That was not only a Universe that could provide him with many powerful templates, but also a new World where he could gain conquest points.

X-Men Universe.

In the 20th century, the racial issue between Mutants and humans persisted, and the World watched closely.

Beep beep beep

Piercing siren sounds echoed over the 'Anvil' Nuclear Missile Military Base in Nevada.

Erik Lehnsherr, suspended fifty feet in the air, overlooked the Base below him.

He had a handsome face, in the prime of his life, with slightly graying temples and a sharp demeanor—the World was more familiar with his other name, 'Magneto'.

Magneto's dark red cape flapped in the dry desert wind, and his metal helmet gleamed blindingly under the Sun.

Making him look like a god high above, about to deliver judgment.

"This is your last warning, run for your lives."

Magneto's voice, vibrating the air through magnetism, spread throughout the entire Base without the need for a loudspeaker, "Before I do what I need to do today, I don't want to cause too much bloodshed."

Base Commander Colonel Williams stood in the central control room, sweat dripping down his temples.

"All units, attention, confirm target is Mutant Terrorist Magneto, execute 'Sledgehammer' protocol! Repeat, execute 'Sledgehammer' protocol!"

Although it was internal communication, Magneto high in the sky slightly raised the corner of his mouth and chuckled softly, "A foolish choice."

The automatic turrets on the Base's periphery were the first to attack, sixteen turrets on both sides turned simultaneously, and their 20mm autocannons spat out Fire.

When the bullets were still ten feet away from Magneto, they all froze in the air, like insects trapped in amber.

"Returning them to You."

Magneto gently waved his hand, and thousands of bullets returned the way they came at a faster speed, the turrets exploded one after another, turning into burning scrap metal.

The Base's drone fighter formation then took off, twelve 'Harrier' drones roared out from the underground hangar, their missile racks fully loaded with anti-air weapons.

As if he understood every movement of the Base below him, Magneto didn't even change his position; he just raised his left hand, spread his fingers, and then suddenly clenched his fist.

Boom boom boom!

The shells of the newly airborne drones emitted ear-piercing metal twisting sounds, their wings were crumpled like paper, and their engines exploded internally.

Twelve fireballs exploded inside the Base, buildings collapsed, troops suffered heavy casualties, and burning wreckage scattered like raindrops.

"Armored units!" Colonel Williams's eyes were about to split, and he roared into the communicator, "All tank units, attack immediately!"

The ground began to shake, M1A2 main battle tanks drove out from the armored vehicle depot, their thick cannons pointed directly at the intruder in the sky.

Magneto finally lowered his altitude, his boots lightly touching the ground, standing inside the Base, facing the steel torrent, he gently shook his head.

"You humans always rely on these metal toys."

The first tank opened fire, its 120mm smoothbore cannon emitting a deafening roar, and depleted uranium armor-piercing rounds were fired at a speed of 1,700 meters per second.

Magneto just raised his eyebrows, the shell suddenly stopped three feet in front of him, hovering and spinning.

With a backhand wave, the shell penetrated the tank turret that fired it at a faster speed, causing an internal ammunition detonation, and the entire tank disintegrated in a fireball.

The remaining tanks fired simultaneously.

But all the shells were suspended in the air, and then casually thrown by Magneto towards the surrounding fortifications. Explosions occurred one after another, and concrete walls and machine gun positions were destroyed by their own shells.

Magneto walked forward, his cape draped over his shoulders like a majestic robe, one hand making an elegant gesture.

The tank cannons began to twist, bending and drooping like melting wax.

The armor plates were torn open by an unseen force, revealing the terrified crew inside.

"Meaningless battle," Magneto said, "Leave before I change my mind."

"Help!"

The tank crew scrambled out of the disabled vehicles, fleeing towards the interior of the Base.

Magneto did not pursue, his gaze was already locked onto the nuclear missile silos standing in the distance.

He flew and stopped in front of the heavy steel door, reaching out to lightly touch the surface, and the door groaned.

Hinges snapped one after another, and tens of tons of metal were torn apart by an unseen force.

"Quickly seal the silos, don't let him succeed!"

Technical personnel retreated in terror, one of them trembling as he pressed the alarm button, and the electromagnetic shielding doors began to close, with composite armor layers designed to withstand nuclear blast impact sliding into place.

"Ridiculous."

Magneto raised his hands, and the entire silo began to shake.

The electromagnetic shielding door suddenly stopped when it was halfway closed, and then twisted and deformed like tin foil crumpled by a giant's hand.

"You think lead and concrete can stop me?" Magneto flew into the control room, "My electromagnetic waves control more than just metal!"

"Stop, don't come any closer!" Colonel Williams's face was determined and fierce, and he suddenly fired several shots!

"How many times has it been?

You humans never learn."

The bullets reflected back, riddling the opponent, and his body fell into a pool of blood. Magneto lightly sneered at the group of trembling researchers.

"Truly pathetically weak, what do You have besides firearms?

Such a race should give way, let us Mutants rule and occupy this World, You should honestly accept the outcome of being eliminated and swept into the dustbin of history."

Whoosh whoosh!

"Stop, Magneto, we will never allow You to launch nuclear missiles and endanger the World!"

Outside the control room window, a streamlined Blackbird fighter jet broke the sound barrier at supersonic speed, flying rapidly from the sky.

A black pearl beauty in a yellow battle suit flew out from the fighter jet, emitting powerful lightning from her hand, piercing the sky and shooting directly at Magneto.

"X-Men!

You can't stop me.

I am saving Mutants, You shouldn't stop me either!"

Seeing the arrivals, Magneto was not surprised at all and waved his hand to set up a magnetic shield that could easily withstand a nuclear blast.

Lightning scattered in all directions, powerless like Water hitting a bronze wall and iron barrier.

Buzz buzz!

Two figures wearing X-Men yellow battle suits followed closely, diving and landing on the launch platform. Cyclops stared and emitted thick laser beams.

Impacting the electromagnetic shield, they also had no effect whatsoever.

"How did You connect 'nuclear bomb' and 'saving'? Your language teacher really should be fired!"

Wolverine popped out his Adamantium claws, and like an angry Beast, pounced on Magneto.

As a result, halfway through his pounce, he was restrained in mid-air, unable to move a single finger.

"You successfully made me laugh, Wolverine.

When I become as mediocre as humans, then You can play your circus tricks in front of me!"

Magneto sneered and waved his hand to control the electromagnetic shield, distorting light.

Cyclops was still trying to fire laser beams, but the lasers circled the field, precisely split into two beams, flew back, and knocked him and Storm away.

"When will Charles realize that coexistence between Mutants and humans is a pipe dream!"

Magneto sighed as he looked at the main control console, all the other technical personnel had already fled in fear.

The screen flashed a warning: 'Launch authorization requires verification'.

"No verification is needed, I am the master of human destiny!"

Magneto raised his hand, and a subtle electromagnetic pulse flowed from his fingertips, seeping into every circuit of the computer system.

The electrons on the circuit board began to flow according to his will, bypassing all security protocols, and the countdown automatically started.

The screen flickered a few times, then displayed that launch authorization was confirmed, and target coordinates were locked - New York - London - Moscow.

"Nuclear missile launch sequence initiated. Countdown, 3, 2, 1..."

Rumble!

Three thick nuclear missiles ascended into the sky, and Magneto laughed loudly.

"Embrace your fate, humans! From now on, Mutants will no longer have to hide!"

"Stop, You lunatic."

Wolverine struggled desperately, but his body felt like it was being pressed down by a ten-thousand-ton giant ship, unable to move an inch.

"This is bad." The heavily injured Cyclops's face changed drastically, and he called out internally, "Professor—"

"I can't do it, I can't break through his helmet." A gentle and anxious voice sounded in the minds of the three.

"Why aren't Rogue and the others here yet?" Storm covered her injured chest, "Who else can stop Magneto?"

The lives of tens of millions are at stake, and more importantly—if these three nuclear missiles are launched, World War III will immediately break out.

War will sweep across every corner of the Earth.

"Wait a moment, someone has suddenly appeared there, a powerful mind..."

Professor X's surprised voice suddenly rang out.

"He seems to be radiating goodwill..."

"Where?"

Wolverine and the others looked towards the sky following Professor X's guidance.

A figure in a black battle suit appeared in the sky, his White cape fluttering behind him. His entire body emitted a blue glow, like a god, and with a raise of his hand, the three nuclear missiles were frozen in place.

"Such a grand entrance?"

A magnetic voice with a hint of mockery came from high above.

As if the crisis of the nuclear missiles about to be launched was just a slightly interesting trivial matter to him.

"Who are You?"

Looking at the figure that suddenly appeared in the sky, the Sun was dazzling and he couldn't see the other person's face clearly. Magneto's brows furrowed slightly, and at the same time, he casually raised his palm.

No matter who it was, could they be stronger than him at manipulating metal?

"Today, these three nuclear bombs will definitely land where I have set them!"

"Is that so?"

"—What nuclear bomb?"

The person tilted his head, accompanied by a seemingly confused rhetorical question.

The three nuclear missiles were enveloped in blue light, and the next second they turned into three bursts of confetti, fluttering down from the air.

Some confetti landed on Magneto's electromagnetic shield, and his expression froze.
