I'd be happy about Power Stones!(Power Stones = Bonus Chapters)
"Just as I thought."
"This thing must be that explosion tag from Naruto that can't even kill anyone."
"It could definitely go head-to-head with a cannonball in the One Piece world."
In a good mood, Kael muttered this to himself as his eyes shifted toward another item's info panel.
[Nemu Kurotsuchi's Shihakusho]Type: Clothing EquipmentRank: CDescription: A shihakusho worn by Nemu Kurotsuchi, vice-captain of the 12th Division in Bleach. Made with advanced 12th Division technology, it offers a moderate level of defense. When infused with spirit particles, it automatically adjusts its size. Long-term use is said to help with waist slimming, hip lifting, breast enhancement, and overall aesthetic improvement
"Whew~!"
"This thing!!!"
Reading the description, Kael couldn't help but be impressed, eyes glinting with interest.
With a flick of his mind, he summoned Nemu's shihakusho from his inventory.
In an instant—
A black dress with a cinched white waist appeared on his desk out of thin air.
Smooth silk, a loose neckline, and a hem just long enough to cover the hips…
Far from a battle-ready piece of armor, this C-rank gear looked more like a cosplay outfit meant for intimate roleplay sessions.
Uniform temptation? Cosplay kink?
He's really playing into fantasies now.
"As expected, this system is still the same old system."
"Excellent taste—I love it!"
Just imagining Tashigi wearing this outfit after she matures made Kael feel like his dreams were just one step closer to reality!
Then he pulled out a pair of Emilia's white thigh-highs from his inventory.
Sure, it was just an E-rank item with no special effects, but since it was system-made, the texture and visual appeal far surpassed any ordinary thigh-highs or over-the-knees!
Laying the white stockings next to the shihakusho, Kael made up his mind:
He'd give them to Tashigi as a surprise gift after her training session!
Too bad that meant the sailor uniform set he'd prepared for her earlier would have to be put on hold—perhaps he'd find another worthy recipient down the line.
Sigh…
Can't be helped.
After all, the shihakusho is a C-rank item.
And being the outfit of a vice-captain from the Soul Society, it could easily defend against ordinary blades and blunt weapons.
A very solid piece of equipment.
Kael was confident that Tashigi, who understood what Bleach is, would absolutely accept this gift.
That first ten-pull might not have had anything earth-shattering, but at least he got something the crew could actually use.
His gacha fever was now fully ignited.
Licking his lips, he murmured:
"C'mon, System Daddy, don't let me down!"
With another thought, he initiated another 10-pull on the Standard Gacha Machine.
Another flurry of notifications flashed before him:
Congratulations! You received an E-rank item: Kid's Cloak!Congratulations! You received a D-rank item: Explosion Tag!Congratulations! You received a D-rank item: Nichirin Blade![…][…]Congratulations! You received a B-rank item: Poké Ball!
"Hmm!?"
"A B-rank item!?"
"Wait—did calling it 'System Daddy' actually work!?"
Eyes gleaming, Kael stared at the last notification in excitement.
"A Poké Ball, huh? Let's see what it does."
Muttering to himself, he opened his inventory and found the red-and-white sphere icon to inspect its description.
[Poké Ball]Type: Single-use itemRank: BDescription: Captures one non-human creature defeated by the pirate crew. Once captured, the target will be assigned a C-rank Pokémon stats panel and become a crewmate.
"C-rank Pokémon stats? This Poké Ball…"
"Might be pretty damn useful!"
Grinning at the potential, Kael's mind quickly spun into overdrive.
"Based on the description, this Poké Ball seems really versatile."
"Non-human creatures, huh…"
"That means besides Sea Kings and exotic beasts, even Fishmen, Giants, and Minks might qualify."
"As long as they're not fully human, this Poké Ball can forcibly add them to the Dusk Pirates."
"Damn—this thing's kinda broken!"
Kael was secretly impressed.
Unlike recruiting crewmates normally—building loyalty and all that…
Anyone captured by the Poké Ball would be brainwashed on the spot and forced to recognize Kael as their master.
"As expected of a B-rank item—ridiculously powerful!"
But his eyes only grew brighter with excitement.
Because this overpowered item was in his hands.
And if you think about how Poké Balls work in the Pokémon world, it all makes sense:
Even Pokémon that were hostile one second become obedient the moment they're captured.
Still…
After some thought, Kael felt it was a waste to use the Poké Ball on humanoid targets.
"Humanoids in the One Piece world usually have intelligence and social traits."
"I can convince them with threats or deals to join me, and then just wait for a matching character card to activate them."
"This kind of brainwashing should be reserved for unwilling but valuable beasts or Sea Kings."
After all, the Poké Ball only gave a C-rank companion.
Kael, who currently had just one A-rank partner, didn't yet know how useful a C-rank would be.
What's more, this item ignores compatibility, meaning it could add a crew member no matter what.
That made him think carefully about beasts with potential but low compatibility chances.
And when it came to non-humanoid targets, Kael already had a few in mind…
The giant whale Laboon at Twin Cape
The massive goldfish monster near Little Garden
The martial arts sea cow in Alabasta that knows Armament Haki
The enormous Sea Kings in the Calm Belt
Zunisha, the ancient elephant carrying the Mink Tribe's kingdom…
The One Piece world is overflowing with bizarre and powerful creatures.
Never mind whether Kael could actually defeat them—
He figured any partner should at least be able to board the Diga and train in the gym.
"That does narrow down the viable targets a lot…"
"Yeah… I better save this Poké Ball for something truly worthy."
After some internal debate, Kael decided to put the Poké Ball on hold for now.
There was nothing in East Blue worth wasting it on anyway.
At most, it might be useful against the Arlong Pirates.
But those ugly fish-men? He had zero interest in bringing them aboard.
Not just because of the atrocities they've committed…
Kael wasn't morally opposed to having bad people on his crew—as long as they had a matching card and brought him gains, he didn't care.
But clearly—
The Arlong Pirates had better uses elsewhere.
After closing his inventory screen, Kael didn't spend the last 10 million Berries right away.
Instead, he opened his Captain Profile.
Because with that last 10-pull, he'd officially ranked up to Level 2 Captain.
Captain: KaelLevel: 2EXP: 0/300Total Power: 440Skills: Super Instinct (A), Pending Draw
"Hmm… doesn't feel that different."
Stretching his neck and limbs, Kael reflected:
Even with the 10% power bonus, 440 total power was basically just Alvida-level strength…
His body definitely felt stronger, but it wouldn't drastically change any battles just yet.
"Still too few crewmates~"
Kael fully understood the Dusk Pirates' current state.
He needed more Berries, so he could keep drawing gacha and expand his crew with system-approved companions.
Fortunately, the next stop on their voyage might be just the place to make that happen.
And now that he was Level 2, he could draw another Captain Skill.
With a nervous gulp, he mentally prayed to every god he could think of—
Then clicked "Draw Skill" with full anticipation.
